I actually meant purple stems, sorry for the confuzzle haha.
Purple stems are generally a result of too much fluctuation in the heat, say going from 30 degrees during the day down to 15 degrees during the night period.
Keeping heats up around 20 Celsius during dark period will help aid any form of bud-rot and also keep the stems happy.
the yellow of the leaves MAY have been due to nutrient burn, spilling your nutrients onto leaves.
as older plants don't really like moisture on their fan leaves, clones however rely upon this until they have taken root.
