how do the chinese type??

just fartin around last night and i had a stupid sober thought.... all i have seen about the written chinese language is symbols for words... so therefore, how the hell do they type??? and they read from right to left... sooo...????

That's a good question ! Maybe their keyboards are wired to automatically format the words the right way as they type ....

they've got typesticks.

Damn i just looked at that pic! That thing is giant but it still doesn't seem like you could type every single word cuz there are SSSSSOOOOOO many.

Typically most chinese type using pinyin on a standard keyboard. Pinyin is a system of romanization for Chinese characters. (I'm study chinese that's why I know these things ) So basically they spell out the word in pinyin and type a number to indicate the tone. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinyin

ha i've always thought about that. non-symbol languages just make more sense that pictures, IMO
