Get some fluro's and/or mh light on your plants. Hps has wrong veg spectrum.
IMO, any darkness encourages stretching, so perhaps use 24 "on" method?

As long as they are seedlings and stretching it's ok just put the whole stem underground up to the leaves when you move them to another pot.

I'm hoping you mean 4 "CFL" not hps... if they're 26w or under you can get as close as 3/4'.. if you get Y splitters and keep plant in the middle (as you can lower, so plant is in between bulbs) it will avoid stretch as lt's a more side & top then just top light... Luck.

Yea my babies for my blueberry lowryders seem to be stretching a little. I hope its fine. For some reason they tend to stratch under my 1000w Mh and not so bad under the hps. Any ideas why?
