How do i stop DXM itches?

I am so itchy right now please help. I have cetirizine but thats it. I took 10mg tablet but nothin changed. Can i take more? Anything else i can do?

antihistamines?... cold wet rag on the trouble spots? That's my best guess.

apply a wet facetowel with ice inside to the affected areas, dont apply ice directly to the skin it should help.

The cetirizine antihystamine kicked in eventually but it felt like hours! The horror!
