How do I quick dry for a sample?

I've taken some of the smaller "pop corn" nugs off my plants to check the flavor. Two methods I've used have been. 1, chop it up really well and let it sit out a few days. Method 2, oven at about 100 degrees for about 30 mins or so checking often (really kills the flavor though)

Not only can you, but it's my preferred method of harvest. No different than plucking fresh tomatoes off the vine... sooooo much better than store bought. Start at the bottom and work up as you need. It's the absolute best!

Chop up what you want to sample, turn your oven to 170ish and throw it on a plate for 40 mins to an hour, don't forget after you do this that you really should dry the slow way even though this rocks
Me and wifey sample every new strain
This. Preheat to 170F or as low as your oven goes - you don't want it to boil the water out and ovens vary in temp, especially as they cycle on and off. I would only do this with small buds or break/cut them up into small pieces so there isn't a big, wet center.

This is nothing like a proper dry and cure but does suffice for a sample at chop time or to satisfy your curiosity. The flavor and burn characteristics will suck but you'll get a good idea of what it can do. This seems like a more gentle way to quick-dry than using a microwave, in my opinion.
