That depends, is it in a cube at the moment? If not then take the seed and put in either a small 1" Grodon or soil cube for about 1 week in a clone tray with no hood. This will get the roots started with no nutes, which can destroy freshly germinated seeds. Or you can use the method that some use that have water farms, stick the cube that you have put the germinated seed in directly into the hydroton and fill with straight R/O or tap water for 7-14 days, then you can add half strength nutes for 1 week then full strength at 2 weeks of veg. Using this method I have never gotten yellowing on my leaves, no signs of stress at all. I stick the 1" cubes into 4" square Grodon cubes which I bury at least half to three-quarters of the way down. This will allow for good moisture retention in case of power or pump failure for an extended amount of time.
Hope this helps, peace out
