how do i make clones

hey guys, as the title says i was wondering how to make clones. i have a rough idea but not certain and was wondering the best way to go about it. All i know is that you take a cutting from your plant which you want to clone and then plant it in soil and its basically ready to start growing again.

another question is how far along in the current grow can you make the clones and how long to they take to make before there ready again. I ask this because i want to make sure i get my timing right so once i finish the harvest of the first crop then i could pretty much throw the clones straight in and start growing again.

Cloning should be done while vegging the plant before it flowers. You can top it, by taking the top node or even the top 2 nodes. Or you can take side branch clones. Just cut it below the leave set, trim all extra leaves and stick it in the gel then into the medium.
I use rockwool to root them in. As well you will need some kind of root stimulator hormone gel. You can get this in gel, powder, liquid. I use Olivia's have great results with it. Once the clones are rooted, keep them moist, not too wet. I use a dome on mine and mist them daily until rooted. Also wip all access moisture from inside the dome each day. Good luck.

You can do both side ones and the tops. I like the tops, makes great strong clones.

And I am no boss, lol I wish, lol.

You'll need some clonex rooting hormone to dip the end of your clones in and instead of rockwool, I'd recommend root riot - GroWell > Fleximix Root Riot Organic Starter Cubes

Take cuttings close to the bottom of the plant, trim and make a final angled cut under water to stop any air bubbles, dip in clonex, plant in root riot and you'll have great clones.
Oh and get yourself a propagator to keep your clones in for a couple of weeks while they root. You need to spray the leaves often to keep them moist.
