How do i know when to harvest.

Hi i,m growing my first ever plants Casey Jones. They are 12 weeks old Sunday and quite hairy. How will i know when they are ready to harvest please anyone. Thanks.

The best way to tell is to buy a 60x - 100x microscope and check the trichomes, there is a guide in the harvest and curing section of this forum. When you have completed a few grows you will be able to tell when they are ready to be cut.

Yes, check the trichomes to find out when to harvest. When the trichs are clear, it's too early to harvest. When they are milky/cloudy you will get a cerebral stone. When amber, you will get a body stone. When cloudy/amber you will get a cerebral/body stone. Good luck.

Just go to Radio Shack, hobby shop, Wal-Mart, and get a lighted Microscope or magnifying glass. Use this to look at the resin heads and decide how you want your high to be felt. Cloudy heads for uplifting feel, Amber for couch lock or more narcotic feel, Mixed between cloudy and amber for right in the middle.
