damn dude, not to be an asshole, but you're basically asking for someone to tell you everything...all this stuff is out there, you just gotta read and research, and then read some more...i never stop reading and searching for good info...look in the FAQ section, there's tons of great stuff there...i'm too kind though, to answer you're question, get some pots, the best soil you can get, plant seeds, get a decent light, hps is good if you can only get one, or a ton of fluoros, grab some nutes, fox farm is great, decently priced...veg the plants for a few weeks on 20/4, then switch to 12/12....good luck my friend...

Here are some questions you may need to anwser for yourself. I will try to help you a little.

1) Dirt or water? -Do you want to grow in soil or in some other medium? Generally soil is more forgiving, but its easier to nail the watering with a Hydro type system. hydro also means you have to invest in nutrients.

2)Type of Lights- floresecents, Compact flores, high pressure sodium, metal halide. the main questions here is what is your budget, how big is your space, and how can you vent the heat. if your in your own house you can vent away and therefore run hotter lights. if your growing in a closet in a apartment then like me you are forced to get creative and use CFLs.

This is just the beginning... I am pretty nubie myself, but ive done allot of research and am glad to help a fellow nubie out with the wisdom i have collected...

well pretty much its a 15'x10' room... its at my house... but i would like to use cfl's it seems the easiest route... i have fish tanks with live aquatic plants that i've learned to grow using cfl's

Thats a pretty big space to use CFLs if your using the whole space. How many plants? Do you get much of a discount? Whats your totla project budget?

i did my set up for very cheap, bought 250 watt halide (130$) 4 house hold lamps with flouressent bulbs- free
4 fans from my house blowing air in and out of the two windows-free
i did drop $ for fox farm nutes cuz you need them eventually if u want results
i found some cheap ways to dehumidify too( layng lots of salt in open containers or wherever your air intake is, but u have to do it every day so its good for the bad days)

more details in the link in my signiture

Well I dont know how you plan to design your grow room or grow area, so I wont bother with tips on cheap grow rooms designs.

But the cheap and easyiest way to grow would probally be soil with very little nutrients.

So basicly a soiless mix with perlite, worm castings. Grow the seed in the soil. Dont add nutrients during germination and or during the first few weeks of seedling.

If you dont add nutrients the plant wont die, but it will take a long time to grow. Too much nutrients can ruin the plant.

Get your self a PH meter or PH test strips and keep track of your PH, you will need to spend money on PH up/PH down and a PH meter.

so basicly the combination of really cheap soiless mix + nutrients + PH meter +Ph up/PH down is what you will need for a cheap and easy grow.

I could be wrong though, Iam not a pro or anything, but from all my research so far this is what I came too.

I could be missing something I hope other RIU members can add to it.

3 plants grown with flourescents will give you approx. 3-5 oz. of bud if you do everything right.
For an amature you'd probaly only get 1 maybe 2 ounces.

But if you want to know the cheapest & easiest way to grow indoors
Then your in the same boat of all of us.
I'm always trying to make things easier and cheaper.
But cheaper doesn't always mean better.
You may skimp on one thing and it'll make something else deficient.

For your plants to grow at the most potential you need.
Excellent lighting - At least a 4 bulb T5 fixture will work.
Excellent air exchange - You need fresh air coming from another room or the outside, and you need to exhaust your grow areas air out of the room.
Excellent water/nute - Water that has been dechlorinated and the Ph adjusted so the roots can take in it's food.

You can go cheap on everything else.
Like: Soil - Not to cheap, at least use Miracle Grow.

Id go with a Soil Grow, Use CFL for lighting.... I like GE 100w equivent bulbs... I wouldnt just stick them in the room though... I would establish some sort of cabinette.. Then mylar the walls so you can beefficient as possible... Im growingboth hydro and dirt currently.. hydro can be a pain in the A**.
