How do I connect a K-Rain 7001 1"BSP Electric Sprinkler Valve to 240v mains?

The title asks the question, I'm stumped. The solenoid specs are 24v ac 0.43amps inrush and 0.25amps holding. What do I need to connect this unit to the 240v mains supply?

A 240 volt to 24 volt step down transformer. HVAC suppliers will have this part. Get one with at least 10.32 va rating, larger vA is better.
