It's a scrog screen, you can use any material. It's a training method to get multiple bud sites instead of 1 main cola if it were grown traditionally. I have ~40 bud sites. I topped it @ node #4 and did LST(low stress train). The picture above is 39 days from seed. 31 days veg, 8th day of 12/12. Should be a nice harvest.
Thanks, the entire setup was just over $500 bucks. Pretty good deal, pays for itself in one grow. If you have the budget and space I highly recommend waterfarming. Depends really. I've seen it done before. I think it's best to support the screen to not put the plant under added stress.Nice clean set up you have there - I have just aquired some 2inch chicken wire that I'm going to use on my next grow - a question for you - if you cut the wire out of the frame would the plant support the mesh on it's own? I ask as I do like to move my plants around as the 200w I use is side light and I like to get em out in the sun if it ever comes out. One of the benefits of growing in muck in a bucket
I'm going to redo my screen after this grow and use hemp string. The mesh I bought, the holes are a bit too far apart makes it difficult to scrog it.
