how close to da plant shud the light be?

how close shud my lights be to my plants...
i have 2 cfls
- 14inch 22watt (i think)
-30inch 17watt

all my plants are over 10inch

-13inch
-12inch
-12 1/2 inch

With those, you can probably get within an inch or two. They don't get very hot at all.

no more than an inch or two imho
