Damn man. I don't think its dead but I dont think its alive. Did you put nutes in by accident or something? Surely you would have known not to do it on a seedling. Thats like feeding a baby a t-bone steak.

Just water for 3 weeks and trim off just the dead. But bot the codyeldon leaves (fake ones). She will pull through slowly then right back on track.

OUCH. No offense but that is the most fucked up seedling I've seen in a month of surfing these forums. Nothing but water for 3 weeks is my best guess at a chance for recovery.

No nutes the first 2 weeks of it's life. If you have potting soil there is plenty in that to keep a seedling going.

and what are all those twigs in your soil? Did you just dig up some dirt from your backyard? Also fill the pot 1" from the top. More dirt generally = more buds.

Not only is there plenty of nutes in the soil the plant itself has plenty to get past seedling stage. Always wait for the Cotyldon leafs to turn YELLOW, before starting nutes on a very low dose.

I always keep my seedling on just water ph of 5.0/5.5 with 1 ml of superthrive to every litre of water till they have at least got a few good sets of leaves.if the plants that you are starting with are not well maintained then this will reduce the yeiled alot.the picture of your seedlings they would still be under my 2 4ft flouresents and 2 150 watt cfls for at least another 3 week and on the multithrive feed missting with a spray at least twice a day, makeing sure that they don't dry out if they do feel a little light then feed with same mix.but it is important when plants are this young to get it right not let them dry out but don't over water by over watering you will not have no where near has good root mass.I know that the plant in the picture are only young but now is the time to get into a habbit of flushing you want a constant supply of nutrients so once say every 3 week flush the plants with water ph of 5.0/5.5 till it runs clear then add fresh made nutrients has soon has the water runs clear this way you know that the plants are getting a feed that the ph is bang on nutrients have just been prepared so this will increase the chances of the plant been healthy alot more than if you don't flush.Since watching the greenhouse dvd's and them telling you the importance of flushing i flush every 2/3 week all the way through the grow and my yeild has increased 10 fold good look keep green peace.Cut off all the bad foilige for a start dude but leave the main head on this might make it but i would not count on it.

Potting soil dont come with twigs in it so more than likely it is dirt from outside.
Have you ever tryed roots organic soil? That crap had twigs in it, like you could start a fire with them. I bought 5 bags and went right back to Fox Farm Ocean forest after opeing one bag.

Haha, thanx for all the constructive comments. The grow medium is coconut husk, working pretty well as a soil medium with my other plant. It was an accident that I was feeding it water with nutes, got mixed up with my bottles of distilled water i suppose.

So anyway il trim off the dead bits, keep the bottom leaves and green parts, and hope for the best. Mabe i'll flush it through once more to be sure those nutes are gone. thanx alot

whats up, can anyone here help me, I got a 3 week old seedling, its 8-8.5 inches tall and the bottom leaves are dried off and dying. But its still growing and the top leaves are looking good. I'm growing my plant in my closet, im using a light plant, a flourecent reflector 65 watt, and after the 2 second week I started using miracle grow. The soil is from outside, I live at the mountains, so the soil is good. I'm putting pictures so u can see, btw does are crushed eggshells on top of the soil.:leaf: 2010-11-20 09-07-59.095.jpg2010-11-20 09-07-30.145.jpg2010-11-20 09-06-14.172.jpg

what did you do....LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL how???? I'm sorry if I seem like an asshole but this is so funny lol

DONT feed seedlings nutes until well after u notice a node or 2 SEPERATE from the calydons thingys (those first seedling leaves that look round)

There is enough nutes packed into the calydons to get the plant started, start feeding once the calydons are yellowing, or after the 2nd node appears.

nearly dead, DONT feed clones/seedlings anything except maybe a little root hormone. The leaves are a direct reflection of whats going on in the soil...if your leaves are looking burnt your roots are FUCKED.....or on their way there.

start seedlings on a 10-53-10 nute schedule or similar...NOT...NOT...NOT....NOT a veg schedule....if theres more nitrogen than anything else in the first 2-3 weeks of your grow you've already messed up.

do this.

1. 10-50-10 (if ur using fox farms just use BIG BLOOM...NO GROW BIG...NO TIGER BLOOM....)

2. after u have 3-4 sets of fan leaves switch to ur VEG NUTES. 25-10-10 (if ur using fox farm use GROW BIG and BIG BLOOM.)

3. after your plants hit your preferred veg height, switch to 12/12 and ur BLOOM BEGINNER NUTES(u still need nitrogen until 3 weeks into flowering, once the stretch is done)

4. after week 3-4 flowering switch to BLOOM BLOOM BLOOM!!!!! (0-30-20) or similar, or CHACHINGblahblahblah from Fox Farm.

i've only been growing for 4 months, i'm FAR from a pro....but I actually sat down and read shit before i bought nutrients....invest properly and grow when ur ready, u cant finish a plant on veg nutes,

this is how I split up the main nutes in my head.....which isnt the best head but it works! lol

N (LEAVES/STEM STRENGTH), P (ROOTS/HAIRS), K (OILS, BUD MASS)

SULFUR (SMELL, TASTE), CAL (leaf durability, nutrient capacity)
