Hi guys, I have a little setup I've been working on but now everything is fully connected I'm having some trouble with fan noise...
The pictures should explain the setup better than words. (dimmable lumatek 600w hps, cooltube, rhino filter, 125mm high powered fan, the more expensive one)
Before today I've just had the second closet (the one with the fan in) open, with the fan just blowing out into the room. I've just finally found the time to drill through the next wall to add the neat louvre, but now there is a really audible fan sound... it's quite loud. Before when I was just blowing directly out of the closet it was fine... How can I mask this? Do silencers work at all, will one fit into my system or be of much use? I thought of installing a wall mounted fan over the duct but it's in an awkward position and I think it will be really obvious....
You see I have an 'inspection' (nothing detailed, for something else) in a week or so, so I really need to get this quiet/steathy asap. I won't be able to just turn the fan off when they come either, as I just turned my fan off for the first time and 2 minutes later the place stank!
I think my plants are doing quiet well, the temps are stable at 24-25C at 400w and 26-27C at 600w, this was taken today:
