How can i make these babies better??

These are my two babies and i need to know from anyone more experienced if there is anything i can do to increase productivity.

what's wrong with them? they look OK to me.

for some reason they droop for a while before i put them into their darkness. When i take them out they seem fine... I don't have a fan on them right now and i think that may be the problem

all plants look a little droopy just befor dark. They are sleeping. if the perk up once the light gets on them They are fine, if not I would say overwatering. its a common problem at that stage of life.

that could be true too. im afraid that the soil i used does not drain as well as i want it to.

i also had another question: what are the leaves that are growing in the nodes? does that make it a male???

let them dry out between watering they like this much better than being moist all the time

If you could add a little perlite to the soil it would make it "fluffier" and retain moisture better; also gives the roots more air. How much dark are you giving them?

18/6 and i just started with half strength nutes.

no. these are new growtips. in certain strains they will become whole new branches. in other strains they will flower at those sites. when you sex them, that is also where they will first show sex.

No this does not mean they are male. Those leaves will be brenches in a few week. Your will also notice the preflowers in the same spot in a few more weeks. THey will show preflowers under 18/6 but will not flower. you must put to 12/12 for that. I would reccomend to wait untill your plant shows its preflower befor flowering

Plants should be about a foot high. about 6 weeks
