How can I lower my humidity by 10-15%

...cheaply. It stays around 60-63% most of the time, even though the temp stays good, 75-80. Anybody got a mcGuyver method for me?

When you get into flowering and the buds start to get dense is when you need to be on the lookout for mold. Lower humidity during that time is a good thing.

Hardware stores carry that stuff Damprid...it's a tray or bag of those desicant crystals that come in stereo boxes?

I plan to hang a bag in my growroom once flowering is underway. Works great in my closet.

Hope this helps

That's a good idea. How much does that stuff cost?

Damp rid is carried in most of the grocery stores in the aisle where the cleaners are. Its only a few dollars for a lil bucket of it and its refillable. Many ppl use it in closets so their clothes dont get moldy and stink.

Yeah...I haven't tried Damprid for my grow yet but I used to use it in my closet and it works great. I would dump out a tray of water it sucked out of the air every week. Super cheap. Try getting the one that comes in a cloth bag...it seems to work better but the one in the tray is good too.

Damn, I have had my head up my ass. I used to buy something like this to keep in the cabin of my sailboat to keep the moisture down. It has been so long ago, I had forgotten about it.

I never let humidity get above 50% during flower and for the last couple weeks the target is 40% and below. I bought a 25 pint Frigidaire dehumidifier at Lowes for $150, it does a great job but needs the tank emptied often - or if you have a drain handy to can hook a hose to it and make it automatic draining. But $150 is like a half ounce of product. Controlling temperature and humidity will give you more yield and pay for itself.
