How can i lay a new lawn ?

Sorry another question i know nothing about ... I will soon hopfully

Ive dug up my hole lawn and put weed killer down about 1 month ago , Now my lawn is just soil ready for a new and weed free grass hopfully

Question is what do i do now ive a very large box of grass seeds (not are usual kind haha )Do i just cover the old lawn with seeds and hope it grows ive seen ppl put out bottles of water when they put new grass seeds down ...

Any advise will be more than helpful as im out of my dept once again ...Cheers h4l

Well, they say the best time to start a new lawn is in the fall or spring. That may depend on your location I guess, but that's for where I am (new york). You'll have to keep them well watered no matter what. Sprinkler on a couple of hours at least once, prob twice a week. Maybe thats why people put the bottles of water out. (I'm assuming to slowly drip and keep ground moist) Hope I could help.

it would be a great time to add to your soil to make better lawn
depending how nice of a lawn you want to have..is too what you do...
basic is to have 3-4 inches good soil. rake level take rocks and crap out spread grass seed cover with mulch and keep moist..
it depends on size of lot as what methods you want to use...:peace:

i just put on top soil this morning also raked out all the crap plus its a new house so the builders burried every thing under the soil fckers haha

i think i have to wait untill sept. before sowing the seeds . i planted a mini tree type plant in the center so i now have to wait i think ?

im sorry not i dident get the traveling community to do the job haha ..ive now blisters on top of blisters :neutral:

sounds like your in the uk dude get ya soil raked out scatter your seed rake it in and just keep it damp dont use a sprinkler it will wash your seeds away they will germinate within 10 days then just water them with a watering can when the soil goes dry wise move ignoreing the gypos ha ha

Even though it may seem sac religious, if you get yellow spots in your grass, just pour some beer onto it. It will grow back in no time.
