How can I get ventilation in this place!!!

Okay, I have an issue:confused:.....One of my cabs that I just started to use is starting to have heat issues temps gettin up to 85*f....The thing is, I know about ventilation and blah blah blah....but this one is a bit of a challenge to me...This cab is in a place where cutting holes are a nono..so ventilation has become sort of a pain in the ass. I have found some "holes" or gaps rather, between the frame and the open area outside..but the gap is like 1 - 1 1/2 inches..so even a 4" fan is too big. I was thinkin of using one of those flat venting ducts with the 4" hole on the other side...not sure if that would work but I'm going to try it tomorrow. As far as smell and people seeing whats up, I do have a carbon filter that will be used as well...any suggestions??? Come on guys don't be shy..:joint:

Oh yeah...I use Co2....but the plants are still displaying signs of heat stress, so I need to get it down to like 80-82*f...I use the Co2 because it's winter and it's slightly sealed...so temps were good at first but then the days started getting warm, and threw my plans for a loop, I was just going to use the cool temp outside as a benefit, supplement the Co2, temps would remain around 76-78*....well it did for the first week...antil my ambient temp jumped to 80*f....help me with your wise words...:joint::joint::mrgreen:

The pics are a different room tho...just some bud poen for ya

hey,
I dont know to much about vents but I think you can buy a nozzle which will be about 1 - 1 1/2 inchs wide but about 2 foot long. like and old shool hover front.
If thats what you mean. The fan may have to work harder than other wise ,,but it should work, as long as you keep the nozzle to fan distance to a minium. Nice lookin plants though. do you have any pics of that room you cant vent?
anyhow hope you get somthing sorted..
take it easy

that temp range is ideal for running co2, just how badly are the plants getting stressed?. my tent is in the high 80's regularly and the plants are fine.

Thanks bunnyface....Thats a GREAT idea!!! mainly because I have everything I need right here already...I never thought of using a vacum hose...it should actually fit the gaps too...WHEW....Good idea, I was getting worried about my cousins..(thats what I like to call them)..thier leaves were starting to canoe a little and had me turning cartwheels. :) I'm gonna go and try this now....Thanks for the compliment and the advice +rep :)

Ghb, yeah your right..My closet setup even hits 90*f sometimes and are just fine...but I think due to these gaps in this room the Co2 escapes rather quickly,I use it because I dont want to cut any holes, and the Co2 level in thier is at like 300ppm with the temps running a little hotter..so I supplement so that I CAN run them higher...However my fan leaves are starting to canoe a little bit, showing signs of heat stress...and from earlier experience those canoes are a bitch to reverse, if at all. I just rose the light for the meantime and have been using Co2 at around 900-1100ppm....just cant seem to hit the 1500ppm without empying my tank....the leaks...I am sealing every crack today that is not going to be used for ventilation...withoutthose cracks temps would shoot up in the 100's :(... but yeah your right I ussually run hotter temps with Co2 as well, just this time it needs some tweaking. thanks for stoppin in :)
