How can i effectively shield myself from thermal scanning?

I use FrescaSol fixtures, I wonder how that would show up on IR.....
My lights are water cooled and my room is much cooler than any that uses air cooling.
Not to mention, mine is way easier to cool.

I'd be weary of those FrescaSol fixtures. I did a lot of research on them and ultimately decided to go standard w/ good air cooling/conditioning. The reason was, u know how water reflects light? Well some people were finding the water between the light and your plants was reflecting A LOT of usable spectrum away from their plants. This was difficult/impossible to see w/ the naked eye but it made a big difference to the plants.

Bottom line is if your not legal, keep it very small, in a basement preferably and DO NOT exhaust hot air directly out of your house. First exhaust into an attic or extra room or crawlspace or something.

If you own your house then begin checking the insulation. Never seen one of the ads showing the same house insulated and uninsulated where they use an image from a thermal imaging scanner to show the efficiency? If really paranoid do the stud walls and still add a couple inches of styrofoam on the interior walls. You shield heat with insulation. You shield signals from digital ballasts that CAN jam WiFi with copper sheet. Not the entire frigging room but an enclosure for your digital ballast. Buy the copper sheets on eBay. I line the cavities on my Precision, Jazz, Stratocasters and Telecasters with it to help shield the single coils from 60-cycle buzz.

They sell "IR blocker". Kinda like an expensive mylar that happends to block those scanners. honestly the most important things were already said. Keep smell under control, both from your grow and from just smoking in the house. And dont throw a bunch of rockwool/trimmings in open trash.
