My biggest plant, over 8 feet high has just shown his balls.

Three years ago, I ran Acapulco Gold in 30 gallon bags and they were about 12 feet tall. I had to screw in 2X4s and run landscape fabric on top of the fence to comply with my state's privacy requirements. I think the Sativas (which the left plant defiantly looks like) really stretch out when given room outdoors.
This year's bushes still be pushin' that bush out. In about a week I think I'll hollow out all the inside growth again, we have had a crazy wet season here in New England and I fear mildew will be a big issue this season.

Mine are for sure in the flowering stretch with most gaining almost 6+ inches over the past week. Only 2 of my 7 plants show the slightest signs of flowering with a few hairs starting to show.

Sad news, the mother cat that died had left 4 kittens, one of which looked exactly like her, passed away overnight to a car and the cat being on the street (they are outdoor cats),.... happy and resting with his momma now, plants are doing fine. Both are poddy mouth from humboldt seed company. I'm also worried for next year my whole seed bank from 5 years was thrown away by my father by accident. Years of breeding and crossing gone to waste,....

2 Nicole clones are 6’, and Wedding Cake, Snow White, and Durban Poison are almost 9’. They are all stretching in the pnw and wondering if they plan on flowering soon…. Didn’t plan on Sequoia's this year the trunks 3” across. New grower but a little surprised at the size. My friends grow indoors and their plants are lucky to get 3’ so have no idea how much these will produce. Any idea?

Im on the Mid Atlantic coast in Va and same thing for me here. Sorry no help but mine are 9’ and 8’ respectively , stretching like crazy , but no flower yet. No Sequoias here but pine trees just the same, lol. Good luck, your crops look great!

Man....those outdoor sativas really like to stretch out. Nice shrubbery btw...any plans for branch support once in flowering?

thanks man, i have some verticle staking up in there and netting wrapped around the bushes for support, hoping its going to be enough? (Golden tiger 3rd version from ace). I grew this indoors over the winter and the colas didnt really get real fat,i did have trellis netting to support them., so i am concerned, lol. Appreciate the input.

My first grow, bag seeds. Growing in some MG Moisture Control potting mix w/Dr. Earth nutes, 5gal pots, 100% sun grown since day 1. I burned the hell out of these plants when they were seedlings with a hot baking soda spray, out of panic of mold. My tallest so far are ~65 inches after the stretch.

Just as an update I measured this morning and tonight and they went from 9’ to 9’7” tonight. So obviously still stretching. I am starting to see some pistils so hopefully we are moving to flower quicker. These should be a 9 week flower, so when do you start the count? I have a vacation planned in October and getting worried they may cross….

It’s best to start counting when you have actual clusters. I’m estimating your two weeks from that, then 9 more weeks, so approximately 11 weeks from here which will be somewhere towards the end of October.

I'd like an early harvest, but it turns out to be the same every year. My house doesn't change latitude. A few might be ready in early October, but it's mainly mid to late October. Here, the unwritten rule is harvest by Halloween.

I’m hopeful the weather holds that long. Have two Northern Lights that started throwing out pistils around Aug. 1st, so if we don’t get nailed with a shitty October, there’s a chance

There is fog at harvest time, so fungus is the bane, more than caterpillars. I'm in No. Cal. and we're still in a drought. I wish we got summer rains, like every other state. It’s been an abnormally damp summer. Started dodgy with forest fire smoke early then just got wet. PM is a legit pain in the ass around these parts (I’m in Toronto) as we get into the fall so diligence is paramount. I’ll still gladly take your No. Cal over a winter here

I'm in Central Calif and we're having super weird weather this year. This week has been double the normal humidity with almost no wind. I have oscillating fans set up to keep air flowing through the intersection of the 4 plants. No bug issues this year, but bud rot is a high risk.
Also odd, my indica are typically flowering by the end of July, and the sativa in pre-flower by now. The two sativa are just starting their stretch. 3 of the 4 plants are over 8 feet now and only one indica has really started to pre-flower.
