Hmm I just took at look at lumileds.
That's the brand Lumatek / Photontek uses, it's a phillips product, also manufactured in china.
*sigh*
Edit: At least they have headquarters in Europe and the U.S.

Agreed, I bought 2....I was ask by a few to test it, so I'm running to TRY to make it degrade lol. Just worked out my grow needed it too.

At 16" I get 503 in the corner 780 mid way down 538 in far corner(door was open) Get a high of 1038 and 800/900's every where else. I would say thats within a couple hundred par + or _
1). I hope these guys will donate some towards your power bill, as well.
2.) That makes for an average of about 800 umol/s², it performs roughly @ 1.5 umol/w

Let's calculate that into our costs, hm about 150$ a year (@15c / kwh) in added electricity bills compared to a 2.0 umol/w fixture.
It's still good value, if it runs for 3 years and not go superbad, I'd say.

So you could have done alot worse overall I'd say.

EU and the U.S. will longterm have a good stand again and hopefully (have to) go back to producing more of their own goods.
China had their economy on steroids for very long, but it seems like nothing else is goin right over there atm.
The russia siuation is very dangerous for them also.
We might see them fall again in the next 10 years according to Peter Zeihan, which seems to be a regular theme in that region over time.

To be closer to its European customers, OSRAM established a new manufacturing facility for digital lighting components in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, ensuring flexible deliveries and shorter response times. All lighting components required for OEMs and the distribution channel are being produced at this location.

Also ensuring good money for the CEOS cause of cheap workers, no?

The grow will pay for extra elec $ ;)
I wish I had a real par meter to make it more fair to the light, but even at that horrible umol/w at the price it's a still a steal. With LED technology changing so fast it seems crazy to pay more than $.50/w. I don't want to pay $700 for a light that I have to hope I get 3 to 4 years out of it to make it worth while. I can throw this thing away after 2 years and feel I got more bang for my buck than if I would have spent $700 and realize I need to run it 2 more years to justify the price I paid. In 2 years there will be some newer, more efficient, brighter diode that we all want. All this is of course imho.

Is it possible for lights to get slightly brighter as they burn in?? I took a reference reading in a corner on the floor and it has increased.
I have also noticed the plants seem to love this spectrum better than what they had...had 4000,660.....this is 3000,5000,660 and they seem to be growing faster with better internodal spacing.
