hello, my name is brendan and i am a semi-new grower...i've experimented twice before...this time however i think i've made decent progress. i germinated my seeds for 4 days...and 2 days ago i planted them in small peat moss bio-degrateable pots. im using a 2 foot flourescent light with one cool white bulb and one warm white. so far the plants have sprouted an inch and a half every day, and each time i check on them they have developed more leaves and look stronger and healthier. i planted 13 and so far 12 are at approx. 2 and half inches tall. i was wondering if this is a decent growing rate, because it is much better than it was the last two times. also i'm planning on transplanting so i was wondering approx. how many would survive? thanks, brendan:joint:

Well all should survive if everything goes according to plan. Your growth rate is good, if not great! As they get older they will be needing some stronger lights as fluorescent tubes will not do throughout the entire grow. If you are planning on saving all 13 plants then I suggest using a Metal Halide bulb for your vegging. If you just want say 5 plants max then stick with some CFLs as they should do just fine. Remember to give them their own pots and work on a grow box. Read a little bit around the site and see what you can come up with!! Good luck on the very long journey ahead of you!

i understand that flourescents are only practical during the vegetative process, however i'm planning on transplanting outdoors, so i was wondering at what height should i put them in the ground?

From what I've read, they vegetate for about 2 months, then it's cool to let them start flowering...But if you're going to put them outside, I guess I'd just let them get to a height you think they'd be able to survive at...A foot? I dunno'. Doesn't matter much, they won't be flowering 'til outside gets on a 12/12 cycle.
