Hey guys
Tomorrow I have a visitor coming over whilst I am at work.
Meaning I'm going to have to put my plants in the shed for 12-24 hours.
Problem is tomorrow is forcast to be 44 deg (111f).
I have put them in before but not with scorching temps like this.

Is it safe to assume as long as I can keep the roots cool everything should be okay?

Last time they went in the shed I put my air pump in a mini fridge which dropped the temp to 60-65 degrees. So I'm assuming I'll be able to keep the bucket temp low. Just worried about temps on top.

Anyone else had to do something like this before?

Cheers

Surely such a short period of time won't have much of a lasting effect. I had a set in those temps for 4 and a half days with no real issues.

my first grow I got paranoid and ripped my plants and threw them in the dumpster for 24 hours with outside ambient temps in the 90s. I felt bad and got them out of the dumpster the next day and they came right back.

Air pump in a mini fridge? Nope never done that, are you in hydro? Id figure ya cause otherwise the temps would be whatevea. There aint really anything you could do but filling it with ice otherwise and that would not be good. Just make sure theyre watered and breezy. Or run an ac for them.

If you are Australian you should be fine, anyone else could be in trouble tho, why not have a sickie, or at least put a white sheet on the shed roof to reflect light, at 27 -44 plants go dormant even better if in the dark ....good luck "V"

Ok well turns out the family isn't coming any more so I raced home to put the girls back inside.
Dick head me forgot to turn the fridge on!
I thought the buckets felt a little hot. The temperature of the water was 77 deg f.
So I'm hoping I caught it in time.

The girls looked stuffed. Very dehydrated and some branches were very limp looking. ....... (like standing on a 90 deg angle instead of straight up :(

Will they return to their former glory???

Thanks

Also put the pump in the freezer before putting it back in the tent cos it was hella hot
