hey everyone.. i am making a small box to keep a couple plants in... i need some help hooking a cpu fan or 2 up to a thermostat so it turns of after a temp goes below a certain point.. this isn't any fancy digital thermostat just a regular one to control a heater.. I neeed to somehow wire the fan through this.. so it will turn it off when desired.. can anyone help me out?

you should just fit the cpu fan into the box (1 for intake one for outtake), strip the wires on the fan and get a cellphone wall charger now strip those wires too. now try connecting the 2 sets of wires until the fan starts spinning then electric tape them together that's what i did for my stealth grow and the fans run fine and stay on throughout the grow Ive never had a problem with the fans or the temp/ humidity since.

yah.. but i was running 6 clf's in a 2x2x2.5 area..
yea i had about 2.5x1.5x1.5 and i had 3 cfls it never got hot in there during the light period i don't see why 6 cfls would cause problems when it comes to the fans efficiency. cfls really don't give off that much heat and the heat they do give off combined with the intake and outtake fans makes for perfect conditions IMO. also when you install put the outtake level height to the lights to help eliminate hot air coming off the lights better and the intake a little lower level to the plants to help them get co2 from the freh air.
