Homer's 2nd Cfl Grow: Amnesia Haze x G13 and Blue Cream (Pics and +Reps)

Hey guys,

Here are some better shots of the drying buds. They're mostly dry, actually, and the weights have shrunk to:

Blue Cream (almost dry): 31g
Amnesia (almost dry): 24g

They'll probably lose a couple more grams here and there, so I'm looking at a harvest of just under two zips for two plants using about 150w of cfl/t5. Not too shabby, if I say so myself. If it weren't for that pesky PM, I'd probably have another 10g or so of high quality trim... oh well.

By the way, does that hairy stuff on the stem in the last pic look normal to you guys? I'm chucking anything that looks like PM or mold, so this is one of my candidates. Luckily most of the buds looks mold free!

yeah, that was just a few minutes of sun for pictures and for mold inspection!! they're hanging in a mostly dark closet. no worries dude

totally man, you were VERY close with your guesses of 24.2 and 22.4 grams, although blue cream turned out to yield a bit more than amnesia.

so, anyone have any thoughts on the "hairy" stem in the middle? does it look normal, or could it be some sort of mold? here's that pic again...

amnesia really did look bigger to me... it's hard not seeing them though... dude i would not think that is mold or anything bad in any way.... although I've been wrong before!!! best i can say is smell it... if it smells rancid it's mold. but from here it doesn't look like mold..... then again i thought amnesia was the bigger yielder!!!

thanks bro for the reassurance. i trust your opinion, even if you're sometimes wrong (you're mostly right). finished trimming off the extra stems and examined all the buds closely and saw nothing bad, so i'm pretty happy so far . these babies dried quick!! just 48 hours. i'll be burping them several times a day and keeping a close eye!

hupomone, welcome to the thread and riu (if you are new here)! thanks for that bro, i can't wait till i start smelling the cured buds... usually takes about a week to get that danky fragrance, so just in time for 4/20, super psyched about that!

thanks for that compliment lee, i really appreciate that bro. my drying conditions were about 70 deg and 40% rh, and my goal was to avoid PM turning into mold, so i'll accept a faster than usual dry if it means no mold . thanks again man, and don't worry, i'll keep this thread going, at least till i have a chance to post a few smoke reports!

i ask this because i cured in ragu tomato sauce jars last time
and my friend said that they arent the right jars idk tho they seemed to work just fine.

yeah dude, i'm pretty sure they are air tight. they're the mason jars with the double lid system... i've read they're perfect for curing and i used them in my last grow and worked just fine. i picked them up at a hardware store for something like $10 for a 12-pack. didn't think i'd need that many, but now i'm 6 down, 6 to go

thanks kether! i will be following your amnesia grow, i'm curious how similar or different it will be than mine. i wish i could grow one outdoors, as this plant seems to have great potential. and blue cream, well yes she is delicious. now it's just a waiting game until she gets her creamy aroma back!

Kush - Yeah hit your local Walmart type store and they should have them there too. You may get lucky and find some at the dollar store though.

thanks ABM! yeah, i can tell the smoke report is coming soon because after just one night in the jars, amnesia is already starting to bring back that piney smell that she had during flower. damn, i love this part

as for mason jars, i think i picked mine up at an ace, but wallyworld probably carries them too... i remember seeing some sort of jar at dollar tree, but nothing i'd wanna put my weedz in.
