I realized my first cart was leaking into the ccell. I changed carts and no problems now. I’m still trying to skirt the Winterizing with everclear but I can see it coming. The filters are a pain in the ass

Did you winterize it or are you vaping it straight with the wax and lipids? Just curious. Some of mine through the .22 micron filter look great. But if you blow out the filter by applying to much pressure with the plunger you are screwed..... gotta start all over. I think this weekend I’m going to try to winterize 2.5 g with everclear. I mean I now know that they make pins that will Vape The un- winterized juice but it looks gross.

Nope just shatter and liquidizer. Mixed up real well, no separation so far. I used a pretty decent quality shatter, not sure if that’s much different than using rosin. Not suuuuper flavorful, I may try grape ape or blueberry next time

Nope, I buy it by the qp from CGMC. Illegal state here. I think next time I’m just gonna grab distillate. When I get home the carts will be 24hrs old so hopefully it will look like it did last night. Was fine when I left this morning. If I have any issues I will try winterizing next time I make them.

Hey I know this is a pretty old Post but I just got pretty much the same setup but I'm hoping I can use terpenes to make the ejuice have you tried this? If so does it work? Also I'm getting a lot of blowouts how much pressure do you use with the dake?

Your over packing the bags then. I’ve used Agar bags and Dabpress also. I like Agar better they are a bit bigger and sturdier IMO

Dabpress bags are abut flatter and tight therefore your product might mound up and not get a full squish
I tried doing 7g of nice trim figured that wasn't very much the bags are like 2x4. I'll probably just make bubble first an press that pressing buds and trim doesn't seem worth the time it takes

How important do you think a vacuum purge is? I have a vacuum pump and large jar that I can fasten fittings to. But I thought you might know. You’ve moved on to distillate but I think you started doing this stuff first? I can pick up the vacuum fittings today. I’ll filter through a coffee filter tonight. I’m stoked to see the outcome

I did not quite follow your process, I'm doing a distillate, so all the ethanol gets cooked off..
I've just had too many failed batches for various reasons using other methods...
Mind you my first ethanol wash was also a fuckup in the mixing stage.... I still have a hard glob of it staring me in the face...
The easy way is to get Clear... use as per their youtube video, and you will get a good quality product on the other end...
I do have a bunch of flower that I'm going to BHO blast, but I'll have a friend do it... he has all the gear for that, as he blasts often.
For cartridges, I'd use clear or buy pressed rosin and mix with something like wax liquidizer. The pressed rosin seems to mix easier with lots of shit.

I pressed my buds and it produced 2.5g of rosin, I put that rosin in everclear last night and put it in the icebox at 0*f. I’m going to filter it tonight and let it evaporate. And some guys vacuum purge after that. I didn’t know what you thought. I do use wax Liquidizer original. I’ve bought a bottle of shatter sauce to try it also.

Check the video I posted on how to build your own vacuum filter setup. You freeze your shit then pour it through under vacuum and the ethanol gets pulled through before the wax starts melting. You just need a small bucket with a lid a vacuum cleaner and a long bottle to use as a funnel oh and some filters.
Typically you can just mix pressed rosin with the carrier of your choice using some heat (under 150F)...
My process was as follows.... fresh frozen flower quick rinsed and poured through filters in the freezer. Left to filter through in freezer. At this point, I evaporated off about half of the alcohol using heat (it took pretty long as I was pretty gentle with it), and will do the vacuum filtering next.
Normally you would do the vacuum filtering first.
Bring it up to room temp, then it gets heated up to 60C again and cooked down to the last few milliliters. At this point you can just suck it up into a syringe and use just like that, or mix down with some PG or VG or blend.
If you are going to just let it evaporate, add about 10 drops of water before it starts congealing. This will help get the alcohol out, and will find its own way out.
