Homemade Aquaglobe Like Device

So, I needed something to water my plants for me while I go places sometimes. So I made lid for a water bottle that would do the job for me. It's very easy to make actually, just take a small nail and poke 2 holes in the lid. I will post pictures once I give the thing a proper test run... if it does well that is. It's not too complicated really...

i take a 20 oz soda bottle, and drill a 3/8ths inch hole in the cap. then i take a brass tube that fits in the hole and cut it to 3 inches with the end coming out of the cap being pointed. then you can drill a hlittle hole in the bottom of the bottle for air to come in. works good for me.

That's the reason I did two holes, it helps the air move in.

With a hole at each end, doesn't the water just drain through pretty quickly?

well the idea is you hold the bottle, and cover the hole on the bottom, then fill it up. then you put it in the ground and it waters it for a few days
