Homegrown Hydro or BC Bloombox

I want to pull the trigger on an indoor system and I can't decide on Homegrown Hydroponics Jumbo unit or BC Bloom box. OpenDNS or OpenDNS

I'm looking to grow 3 or 5 plants at a time. I like the bloom box becuase it is automated but the Jumbo unit seems to have more room. Anyone have any opinions. Ease of use and branchy plants is what I want.

Hound Dog...thanks for your reply. How is the flowering area in the bloombox? Are there decent yeilds on bottom branches? Wondering if my yield would be better with 3 vs 9 plants? Do you use all your plant sites?

The idea behind the box is to flower 9 small clones as soon as they root. This way you will end up with 9 fat main colas with fewer leaves and branches.

For my first grow I flowered 5 AK-47 plants from seed at about 10" tall. They grew to the top of the cabinet in about 4 weeks and the overgrown canopy blocked the light from properly reaching the lower parts of the plants. Also, the bud that was directly under the light got burned up because the glass gets really hot. I still ended up with 5.5 ounces for my first time ever growing anything!!! The smaller yield was from newbie mistakes, not because the box is defective. There is just a bit of a learning curve involved, I expect more than double from my next grow.

The only complaint I have is that the carbon filter did not get rid of the odor as much as I would have liked. On the other hand AK-47 is a very smelly strain.

I would say neither. With about half the money of either of those units and about a seventh grade shop class know-how you could build your own. I built my own mother/cloning box out of stuff I already had laying around the house. Its not a rigged up piece of crap either.
Why pay all that money for someone else to build something any upright homosapien could build with a little patience? And most importantly you'll have all that money left over to buy top-notch seeds, nutrients, bulbs etc, etc.........

Thanks Hound Dog...I will have to learn on the fly as well.

BigGuy...I only wish that I was technically savy. I know I would save a lot of cash.
