home made co2 burner

Where would you suggest I go looking for water cooled co2 burners, aka tankless water heaters?
dr who showed good site, most of the stuff I work on much bigger,res-comm heating but its really all the same I grow indoor in winter an use ventless gas heator for heat an co2

How big?

My 5 Ton chiller has hot gas recovery so I'm installing a hot water circuit to heat, dehuey, heat my house, domestic hot water, etc.

The water cooled burners would go on that circuit to be used whenever co2 gets low in the bloom rooms.

all modern gas burners have low ox shut down,if it doesn't don't use it,i been a gas tech long time
Not here they don't lol. The States allow ventless heaters and Ontario doesn't so no need for low O2 sensor. I looked at the one bryon mentioned and it didn't seem to have one either.

I can work on any thing upto 200,000,iam talking boilers, water heaters ,space heaters never played with 5 ton chiller haha

ventless is legal in usa not legal in Canada all new ventless or vented have low ox shut off its the little nubie thing the pilot hits one make elc to run thermostat other is low ox shut down some are built in one unit been doing this long time peace

It doesn't use gas at all. It just moves the heat from the cold side to the hot side. Excess heat gets blown outside.

I'm thinking these units will be the standard of the future because they're just so much more efficient.

After all- it's your heat, right? You already paid for it once for lighting and again to remove it from your grow room, so why not use it? The chiller pushes that heat up the temperature gradient to 110-120F, plenty warm enough!

The tankless units work on water flow to turn in burner tty, Home Depot probably has good prices
do u no what a thermocouple is an does?
um yup, 12-22 mv to keep pilot valve open using electromagnet lol. I teach this stuff. I'm licenced to work on any btu rating so there lol.just kidding but nope no low ox safeties on any of the stuff we have, lil buddy heaters have em though.

Is your chiller up and running tty? I saw you were switching out your RDWC system, how's it going?
no i s going to put together a home made water chiller . i decided to just make a room for cloning and veg . it has a 5000 btu indow unit i keep it as low as 65f even on a 90 degree day only cost me about 40 bucks a month to operate . well worth it small 8 by 8 room ac tuns on and off 100 dollar ac unit . . and for my dwc cloner i am having absolute zero percent success rate threw away more then half in only 8 days . other plants have a chance of rutting we will see . so far i have to say my old clone machine is far better . damn new 100 % success rate . also using those grow blocks i get near 100 % success rate . i think this dwc system by (aqua clone ) is a total fail soon to be posted on craigs list . the dwc system the top of the plants are drying up . i dont understand what is going on i have to guess its not getting enough o2 to breath i have 2 air pumps i bought the good ones . only issue i have with grow blocks or my other cloner are hungry plants for nutrients but not common and still get very large roots . this dwc system is going to be one soon . total fail . i give it 5 more days and good bye .

hey about running these higher co2 levers is not always a good thing if you spend a lot of time in your room . your body get defeated of o2 and you get light headed and sooner or later fall on the floor and keep breathing the enriched co2 and sooner or later pass out and take it from there . you will get light headed in my room as soon as you enter it . i leave the door open to vent it when i am in there . i am not talking 1200 or 1500 ppm i use upwards of 2200 to 2500 what i prefer high as my controller allows me to turn it or i would crank it up even more . i like the final results stronger faster finishing very sexy . i used to do 1200 ppm until a friend showed me his veggies in his grow room and i had to follow along . if your in good shape the co2 wont bother you as mush if you have and issues do not follow along .

You use a co2 controller as the low air shut off - Otherwise, from all the CO2 generators I've looked at - they don't have them built in!

Here's an inexpensive one that works great - neighbor runs this one and has run it for 5 years....

They go up from there to end at the best choice available -

Running over 1500ppm -

Is stupid!

At OVER 1500ppm the effective increase in plant growth drops by a rate that would scare a ski jumper were he to look at it as a graph! This is plant FACT! If you THINK your getting more, it's in your head and not an actual thing!

The other point to be made here is that to be any kind of effective. You would have to increase the light intensity to increase the ability OF the plant TO utilize more CO2. To be effective AT 1500ppm, you must be generating 80,400 lux of light ! Any less then that and your shooting yourself in the foot and wasting money!

You must realize that at a low light level of (12,330 lux) the photosyntheses rate increases as the CO2 rises to 400ppm. Plants can not take advantage of CO@ increases if there are not corresponding light increases. The rate of plant increase to CO2 is greatest between 400 - 600ppm. As you increase CO2 and light from there. The rate of increase slows and the needs are higher to do the same work as before.
This rate increase levels of at about 1200ppm....and slowly climes to an "effective" use rate of 1500ppm at 80,400 lux of light.
The rate of increase is considered "not effective" for cost and ability vs. return!

BTW , at 1000ppm you can begin getting stiff and have some joint pains with long exposures.
At 1K to 2500 you can begin to get sleepy and feel light headed with even 30 min. of exposure.
Bad for your general health over 2500!
Extended time in 5000 ppm is dangerous !!! CAN cause death!

I already have the monitoring and control. I need a good water cooled co2 burner. I didn't see one on that page, the one listed was for small spaces.

I SEE said the blind man!

Here's the NEW hydroGEN pro and LOOKY, LOOKY, it HAS an O2 depletion sensor! Aw, my stuff is old now , no O2 depletion sensor....how much a cpl of years makes!

This is the model (only older then) I swapped the Marey out for 2 years ago!

Are you cloning in the air conditioned room? Perhaps it's to dry? I use root riot cubes in a covered tote that is kept at 100% humidity and 85 f, roots develop in 6-10 days strain dependant. Always wanted to try a aero cloner and have a DIY one but having great success with what I have now.

Should have never mentioned the low ox thing :(. Anywhoo my experience, while limited to a few brands of tankless, is that they produce fairly high CO levels in the exhaust on low fire when starting. Not sure what if any effect this would have on a sealed grow room. They also throw out a fair amount of raw gas on startup.

humidity never bothered to check it lol I have been doing this so long only check it in flower . you could be correct on this budley . I know my older cloner they root in any condition and my grow blocks I mist them a few times a day . . I am not a dws cloner . its possible the air is to dry they are not happy . darn my woman for buying this dwc cloner lol . joke as least she looks sexy .lol

Well yes she does if that's her in the pic, if I may be so bold lol.

Just a thought re the humidity.

That has to be a Marey badge engineering job, too- just like everything else in the hydro innovations/Surna catalog. If you can find it from them, you can find it for less through an HVAC supply source, under a different brand. Usually a lot less;
They sell 2 Ton water cooled air handlers for 1250. I got exactly the same thing with the OE name on it for $458.

I bought a 5 Ton Chiller from them. Never worked properly and it failed. They refused to honor my warranty on 10k worth of equipment, saying my cooling system was substandard. My system had been working just fine with Chillking units before, and it does again now that I have another Chillking.

My Chillking 5 Ton chiller has been working like a champ since the day we flipped the switch, to the point of producing more cooling than its factory rating. Can't say enough about their customer service, either.

It's your money.
