hey about running these higher co2 levers is not always a good thing if you spend a lot of time in your room . your body get defeated of o2 and you get light headed and sooner or later fall on the floor and keep breathing the enriched co2 and sooner or later pass out and take it from there . you will get light headed in my room as soon as you enter it . i leave the door open to vent it when i am in there . i am not talking 1200 or 1500 ppm i use upwards of 2200 to 2500 what i prefer high as my controller allows me to turn it or i would crank it up even more . i like the final results stronger faster finishing very sexy . i used to do 1200 ppm until a friend showed me his veggies in his grow room and i had to follow along . if your in good shape the co2 wont bother you as mush if you have and issues do not follow along .
Running over 1500ppm -
Is stupid!
At OVER 1500ppm the effective increase in plant growth drops by a rate that would scare a ski jumper were he to look at it as a graph! This is plant FACT! If you THINK your getting more, it's in your head and not an actual thing!
The other point to be made here is that to be any kind of effective. You would have to increase the light intensity to increase the ability OF the plant TO utilize more CO2. To be effective AT 1500ppm, you must be generating 80,400 lux of light ! Any less then that and your shooting yourself in the foot and wasting money!
You must realize that at a low light level of (12,330 lux) the photosyntheses rate increases as the CO2 rises to 400ppm. Plants can not take advantage of CO@ increases if there are not corresponding light increases. The rate of plant increase to CO2 is greatest between 400 - 600ppm. As you increase CO2 and light from there. The rate of increase slows and the needs are higher to do the same work as before.
This rate increase levels of at about 1200ppm....and slowly climes to an "effective" use rate of 1500ppm at 80,400 lux of light.
The rate of increase is considered "not effective" for cost and ability vs. return!
BTW , at 1000ppm you can begin getting stiff and have some joint pains with long exposures.
At 1K to 2500 you can begin to get sleepy and feel light headed with even 30 min. of exposure.
Bad for your general health over 2500!
Extended time in 5000 ppm is dangerous !!! CAN cause death!
