Here are some kinda part by part pics for those putting together a materials list.
The last pic is of the manifold alone, that is what it looks like on the store shelf. My particular version required the purchase of one $0.97 adapter, 1/4" hose barb that is threaded at one end to screw into the bottom of the manifold. The 1/4" end fit into the pieces that came with my pump so no 1/4" hose was required in my application.
Another tip:
I purchases both air and water pumps that could be repaired. Air pump diaphrams wear out, and water pumps usually have small parts wear, out although neither are expensive to replace, I find it easier to replace a diaphram or impeller than to purchase new items all of the time. Besides, if things fail...spare parts are small, cheap...and can be kept on hand for immediate repairs.
hey guys i just built my own 12 planter w/ 4" net pots using a 50gal tub, everythings great EXCEPT, i only have 1 12" air stick, and the water pump is 250gph, but it only trinkles into the 12 nets, i mean its a constant stream, but not strong compared to the Stealth Hydro video on their website. They use a 200gph pump for 6, so since I have 12 do I need a pump twice the power? But those 400-500 gph pumps are 70+ bucks a pop, so whats your advice, shell out the money for bigger water and air pumps?
does anyone know how many liters those 6" net pots are? and also if your running just an air stone you do run it 24/7?![]()
