I use a vortex paint mixer - $4.00 at Wal Mart - on a 3/8" drill. Mix like hell for 20-25 minutes minimum. We get some great bubble hash. The long agitation in ice water pays off.

I agree Mo^^^^^

looks like you got a whole load of junk in those bags. I have heard that the company are quite good as well so may be contact them direct. I always wash my bags in water and cleaning alcohol before doing a run.

Not to worry - it was crap trim - most if any trichs were on the stems :) The bags got a good washing last night and are hanging up to dry. I started chopping down the Big Clone today. Trimmed for a couple hours and hardly made a dent. I have not even cut off the biggest colas yet! Had to go get some more gloves. Trying the Nitrile ones this time. They are a little tight but they stretch nicely and feel prety good. I should go out while it is still light and get some pics.

Keep it Sticky,
Mo

First of all I need to say Nitrile gloves rock!!!! No sweaty hands and they were comfortable the whole time and they were easy to reuse :)

I filled two totes with pre-trim bush parts. (way too much - one is better I think)

I am so exhausted but in a good way.

Here are some before and after pics of the big clone:

Yo Moh, Great looking garden!

Stupid question maybe, but why are you doing the bubble hash? dont alot of the plant go to waste in the water, all the trics not solving etc ?

You should really ttry the dry ice hash method, super simple, and just pure awsomeness!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZL3nLVYorg&feature=related <- random find on youtube on how to make it.

since you already got the bags needed, all u got to get is some ice =).

Have a nice day and a nice smoke

Your product has to be very dry for bubble hash in my experience. Dry the hell out of it however and then do it. Plus it seems to help to have it frozen a few hours before you mix. Don't give up! With the monster you would have a ton of hash!!!!!!

I remember getting some dutch hash that was very dark on the outside but was very blonde on the inside. I wonder if they coated the outside with something?

When I made my dry ice hash I used a coffee grinder with dry ice and bud mixed together. Ground it up to powder, put it in a mason jar and shook it through a 220 screen held in place by the lid ring. Worked great for doing everything wrong! It still has less green in it than bud and tastes just like old school hash :)

The trichs were looking good so I decided it was time (at least for some of the Big Clone flowers).

Here are some chop pics from yesterday.

Totes of bush:

That clear tote was full of the rough trim from both of these totes (except for the big buds that got trimmed and hung - two were left leafy as an experiment).

Rough Trim Trays:

Trimmed Cola Tray (then they were hung)

Hanging Malawi Flowers from Holy Smoke (thanks Nick!)

The outside of the hash was oxidized and the inside was not. I learned this from one of Jorge Cervantes videos. The exterior shine he says, is often from being wrapped in cellophane.

Mo.... about the rough trim trays, I'm guessing that is 2 trays out of 100????
Your report on final weight should be epic.

Closer to 20 trays worth that is why I started putting the trim in the big plastic tote. The trim is in a Cardboard box now that is lined with a bed sheet that is suspended and does not quite touch the bottom of the box. I will be finishing the trim job on these tonight in front of the tele. Then they will go in a bed sheet hanging from the ceiling.

Hi All,

OK - tip - do not wait a day to trim bud - it gets all soggy and it is like trying to trim a ball of spagetti! It was ok though, most of these were smaller than a walnut and just got shredded for the hash trim mix. Walnuts and bigger went in the hanging tapestry for drying in a warm dry room and ceiling fans on medium speed. Still have half a box of the trim that needs to be finished tonight and then I will start taking fresh again in smaller batches :)

The Big clone is still slowly adding weight so I may let the reaminder go a little longer but the rain is coming. I can cover her from the rain. It is 80 degrees and sunny today and has been hot and dry the last three days with nights in the 40s to 50s.

You can tell that the cold weather is changing the growth because all of the new hairs that are showing are short and tight.

The WOG is still very green with clear trichs and the big colas are stating to fall over. One was so heavy it broke the branch! I tied it up and I need to do a little more tying in the center. Most of the big cloas around the outside are supported by netting. It will be interesting to see what happens when it rains tomorrow!

Cheers,
Mo
