Holy Shit.

:wall: Holy Shit. I've been caught growing in Alabama and facing FELONY charges for a plant I love. Damn police got called to my place by a nosy neighbor on an unrelated matter and the snooping bastard found my plants and has charged me with more than twice the amount of plants I had. I am so fucking screwed. Now I really don't have any choice but to start my grow over and hope its ready in time to pay legal fees. DAMN! And I've got to find an Alabama Pro-Marijuana Criminal Defense Atty.Know any? I don't. I figure I'm probably going to prison over this one. Had a past misdemeanor possession charge so this one was automatically a felony. Fuck! All I can say is I am completely disgusted with this situation and say to all, Beware, and be careful. It could happen to you. And if anyone could help out, I would appreciate it.

why did you allow them on your property? this story sounds pretty far fetched to me, unless you made some REALLY big mistakes.

Man, I feel for you. What happened to you can happen to anyone; all it takes is a neighbor, friend or lover to drop the kill on you. It does sound like the cops did a sloppy job (eg. double the plant count). I agree that they probably screwed up some other stuff too, like proper procedures. Do whatever you can to get a good lawyer, and watch your ass here on out.

I agree with this. I mean hell, how can they present evidence in court when required if there isn't said evidence as you suggest. He can't just charge you with twice what you wre actually growing unless you or your lawyer are sleepy enough to just let it pass through court unquestioned. Cop either needs the plants, or photographics evidence from the scene, else he's got shit.

Uh, I don't think growing more plants is going to help you at all. o_o
I agree. If you are out free now, your either out on bail or personal recognizance. On probation or parole they can search you and your home at any time as that is part of probation. I am not sure if they have the same rules for your situation, but I would expect it.
You are also now on the police radar. They caught you and will be looking to catch you again.
Starting another grow would NOT be on my list of things to do if I were in your shoes.

If you're looking at growing another crop to make the money, especially in time, then you may as well just run off into the woods and live there. It is about the same risk and your in alabama, you guys dont even really have winter. Get a friend to drop you off way the fuck in the middle of nowhere with some survival supplies, mostly devoted to getting food. There isnt really a winter there, so its not like you really need to be able to preserve food, but its always a good idea to have some way of preserving food. A good set of pots and pans is also a must, if for nothing more than boiling water.
In short, I wish you luck on your grand adventure into the unknown! Personally, I have always wanted to leave society and live in the forest! You could even bring along a bagful of seeds and grow some to smoke, just be sure ur in the middle of no where, and dont expect it to be very good. Avoid large open areas, and grow just a bunch of it, leave some males even for future crops. Autoflowers would be awesome there I bet. Seeds can be made into flour and baked into bread even! Would be flat bread though.
Just make sure to be no where near here you were dropped off, you would want to hike for a minimum of 5 days before setting up camp. Bring a compass and even a very good map. You will probably be spending the rest of your life here, don't want it decaying after it gets wet once. Well, If you flee the state, the stature (sp?) of limitations gets put on hold, but if you flee into the woods of the same state... I'm not sure.
Good luck!

i did not see him say there was a search warrent also what was the probable cause they had 2 of smelled it or something, they will not just listen to claims of people coming in saying well this person is growing weed ect. at least not where i live without proof they will not even look into it.

or he is just a dumb ass and invited them into his house willingly like a lot of people that dont know any better do w.o a search warrent you dont even have to awnser the door
at least here anyways

I am a scrapper. A nosy neighbor called about a friend and I loading our stripped copper up to go sell it. Guess they were hating, but I digress. When the cop got there he got out of his car and just started walking up to the top of my property. I met him before he got too far up and he stated his reason for being there about the copper and started walking up my hill towards everything saying "lets go look at this copper" and before I could stop him, he's seen my plants. I'm in cuffs. Thats how it went down. Yes they have pictures of the plants and they are confined to about ten pots at the most. two five gallon buckets, three two gallon buckets and about five 8-10" pots. They have me charged with 41 plants. There is no fuckin' way. I'm trying to get a retainer up for council but at this point, I'm screwed. Our courts move extremely slow so thats a plus. Might be able to do it. I don't know.

The plants were outside. If I'd have signed a consent to search for the house I would have been an idiot and one really really screwed S.O.B. So, thats whats up.
