The dude knew exactly how to market himself, he created a ROCK revolution! He definitely earned the moniker "the King of Rock"! Excellent stage performer, ahead of his time, died way too young..

Kinda stole most of his hit tunes from black musicians...not to piss off a lot of elvis fans..he was a great performer though.

Comes off a little racist...

Big momma Thornton wasn't king because white america needed a white artist. Elvis and Pat Boone filled the shoes of the black musicians(for the record companies) so whites could listen to black sounding music without having to listen to a black artist.

This is a much better version IMO... just because its popular doesn't mean it's the best...
