SO im growing my first plant which is a clone i have transplanted it into moss and it seems to be taking very well. I have it under a 600 lums or 65 watt CFL which is working out. I also have a small fan circulating the closet lol for ventalition and so the stems get stronger with the wind. Temp is about 75-80 degrees with lights on and about 65-70 with lights off the closet has been painted aspen white to reflect as well as the shelve it sits on. I have been watering it with boiled water that i let sit in a cup over night with foil to cover it. I am not yet using any kinda feed ive been thinking about coffee grounds and miracle grow. Its starting to delvelop the main bud and buds. Right now my light cycle is 18-6 going 12-12 here in 3 days. So from what ive been doing and the way it looks it seems pretty healthy i do have some concerns though.

First on the lower leafs i am starting to see the tips turn brown what am I doing wrong I dont believe its to close to the light cus the top leafs are perfectly green.

Seconds My leafs seem kinda droopy almost lazy as if the tips of the leaf were heavy i hope that helps that image lol. Am I over watering? I got fair drainage and I only keep the soil moist not soaked.

Finnally I have been thinking about some feeds for my plant. Like i said something like miracle grow for sure any advice? And i have seen coffee grounds put in at the base of roses and other plants will this be good with weed? Last, I have been thinking about adding sea salt to my boiled water heard it is good any one ever try this?

Really wanted the red answered lol. Like I said first time growing anything and so far seems to be going good. If i can get some tips or advice on my plant I would be entirely grateful.

Thanks

Not sure about the sea salt but I know that salt build up will cause problems and I imagine that sea salt would contribute to that. How often are you watering and are you letting it dry first? I've heard that moss retains to much water so they may be overwatered. It's starting to develope buds but you haven't put it on 12/12 yet?

Yeah, I don't think adding the sea salt would be a good idea. It probably contains micronutrients, but the salt buildup can cause nutirent lock if it gets to a high enough level. If you're on a budget, and want a fert that has everything you need(including micronutrients), you could get some Dynagro ferts for $13 each on Ebay and about the same price at most hydro shops. They make both bloom and veg ferts, so you might want to get both, but for now the bloom fert should take you all the way to the end. There are other ferts that contain all the micros, so you can search around and choose something else if you want. I just happened to start using Dynagro Bloom and Grow ferts recently, so i thought I'd mention them.

At 1/4 strength, the MG would've been good for vegging. But, since you're going to bloom soon, you are going to want to switch to a bloom fert. Your plants are probably starting to get deficient(you didn't mention how old they were?) so I'd use a veg fert for the next two weeks(even in bloom), then switch to a bloom fert. That should keep your plants from yellowing too early.

I'm not sure why you boil your water, you do drink it with no problem right?

Your leaf tips being brown, maybe just older leaves dying, sounds like they are hungry. A pic would really clarify things

Second I'm not sure how your developing buds all the while you have an 18/6 light cycle.

I have no ideata why you would add salt to the mix, bad idea.

As for the coffee grounds and MG, do yourself a favor and dont use it. I am a FoxFarm guy myself but different strokes for different folks.

My drainage is pretty good I have not yet seen any kind of build up of water arouond the roots or anything the soil i added to the topside stays pretty moist. And I would really like to get it to grow so ive been keeping it on 18-6 is that bad? And off note question would it be better to keep lights on 24 hours?

Looks over watered, let your meduim dry out before your next watering. This is why your leaves are droopy, even worse you could develope stem rot if it stays too moist too long.

they are over watered

there is to much moss (ph of moss is very low acidic)

do not boil water do not add sea salt no need to leave water set out

Your enviroment is not dialed in, she is not transpiring properly

you should take my class :bigjoint:

Okay I was afaird i over watered. Is there anything I should do maybe retransplant Ive been wanting it in a bigger setting for a few days or should i just let it dry out? Again if I leave the lights on for 24 hours is that good or bad and what would you suggest I use in place of moss? Or does anyone know how to mix their own soil? What do I need and how much do I need of it?:?:

Apart from being over watered does it look healthy? This is my first plant and I really dont want to lose it. For the enviroment what can I do to help it I have to the one light at the moment I am going to go get another as well as one of those sitting table lights to get light under the plant. And I have been thinking about putting mylar up the walls instead of just using aspen white paint. Ive thought about allunimum foil but Im afaird that will just cook my plant.
