Hmmm..Could This Be?

Went on a walk with a friend today on a search for a nice grow area, and found some of these. I'm not saying I know they are the real deal, but we figured it was close enough to at least check, so what do you think?

Its very possible, but as far as I know there is no predictive test for psilocin(psilocybin). Not much other than lab-maintained testing and, well, eating them.

I really hope they are what you are looking for..do some more research and tell what you find..happy trips!

Cut a cap off at the stem while its wet, place it over a piece of tinfoil under a glass over night. The following day you'll have a spore print. Magic mushies have purple spores, very dark almost black, but definitely purple. Rub some on a white paper to spread it out. If it bruises blue and the spores are purple its probably tripping fuel...

Or you could just put the cap on white paper.
Put the cap on a half white half black piece.... This way if the spores are light cream to white you will be able to tell rather than being unsure of having gotten a sporeprint at all.

FAR smarter sir.

Their spores must already have been exhausted, try it again with a newer cap. I suspect that you have the real thing but there are mushrooms that are not of the species you seek that bruise blue, I believe one of them is a galerina, if it is, you most certainly don't want to eat it. If I recall (and do some research for yourself, really, I don't want to be resonsable for someone losing their liver in search of a buzz) There are no poisonous mushrooms in north america that stain blue and have purple spores. As I said, get yourself a good regional key and learn to use it. Stamet's book is the best, it's worth the 30 bucks especially if you highly suspect you have a good old patch of the real thing next door, you will never have to grow your own.
