hmm... light cycle?

hey guys, about to start a couple seeds and was wondering what light cycle i should use. I was planning on 18/6 during veg and 12/12 during flower. Im using 4, 27 watt CFL's if that makes a difference, but ive been trolling around here the past couple hours and ive seen some say 24/0 and then 18/6. Thanks in advance guys!

If you are looking to save energy, 18/6 is the way to go, start to finish.

24/0 is good for seedlings and I even used it after germination to great success.

Plants do equally well under both types of light, but 18/6 is more of a simulation of actual outdoor lighting conditions; roughly 18 hours of sunlight and 6 hours of darkness per day is what outdoor marijuana cultivators have been using for thousands of years!

So I say, 24/0 for ten days, then 18/6 until you're ready to flower.

I have also heard about shocking your plants into showing sex early by leaving the lights off 24 hours before switching to 12/12.

Anyone care to elaborate?

I use 24/0 all the way until I flower then 12/12 I get great results, I do know a lot of people get pissed at me cause I'm not doing what nature does. But if I wanted that then they would be outside. They stretch in my opinion in the dark, so I keep the light right above them all the time. Their not chickens they don't "need" a rest
