Hmm, Attitude or SpeedySeedz Controversy Anyone?

I've been on a rampage lately about seed banks. Seems every time someone talks about seed banks, it's always the same ones with split reviews. I don't have reviews for anyone other than Attitude. Which I have to say, I can't bash them a single bit. I've gotten my orders everytime, very stealthy and 7 days from order. However, I do know that SpeedySeedz bashes them everywhere he goes that has to do with Attitude. (wait and read the rest before you post, cuz I know you want to)

Everyone here knows the controversy with RIU and Attitude right? Well If you don't, I'll give you the short story and my 2 cents. It's a theory on here that RIU will not endorse Attitude as well RIU will back door them and bad mouth them as much as possible on the site. They are not now, nor will they ever be, endorsed by RIU and vice versa because RIU says they are untrustworthy, crooked, etc. **Here's my 2 cents... ** I think that Attitude said, "Hey RIU, thanks but no thanks. We don't need to be on your site because we do pretty good on our own. RIU says, "Well f--- you too buddy." I also have to throw in that I have read way too many posts on here that glorify Attitude and their shipping, their trustworthiness, their speediness, and their stealthiness. Now their customer service leaves something to desire, but over-all they are pretty damn great.

Moving on and on the opposite end of the spectrum, I have also read numerous complaints about Nirvana. The main ones being seeds being crushed, sometimes not getting the seeds at all and delivery taking like 2 - 3 MONTHS (sometimes more) Who the hell can wait 2 -3 months to start a harvest. Obviously if someone is ordering seeds, it's because they need them asap, right. Oh and just so that no one gives me any sh-t, I know that customs can stop shipment, blah blah blah but you would get some kind of notice. Yet RIU endorses them without a problem. All of this is right here on the site if you read through the threads so I don't want anyone thinking I'm trying to start any NEW controversy. I'm just here adding my thoughts.

Ok onto SpeedySeedz now. Like I said before, they are always following around and bashing Attitude's prices, shipping etc. Any time that someone says something about Attitude, you can gaurentee that SpeedySeedz won't be too far behind and posting something about their price comparisons and so on. Yet SpeedySeedz never seems to say anything about Nirvana and their different issues. Why would they? They are endorsed here too. I have to raise the flag here.

Before I go into this, I have been rash sometimes and posted a comment talking crap about SppedySeedz and their selections/prices with only a little bit of knowledge about them. So I decided that I would go through and do a bunch of comparisons between Speedy and Attitude. (I could care less about Nirvana because I would NEVER order from them directly. Too many broken seed stories, and too long of a waiting period.) I have now decided, on my own accord, that I will be giving SpeedySeedz the benefit of the doubt and showing you what I found.

Here's the facts on: Breeders, Seed Selection, Seed numbers and shipping. Unfortunitely I can't add shipping times right now. So here we go.

Seed Selection - Like most other companies, they offer packs of seeds, single seeds, feminized, lowryders, and regular seeds.

Seed Count - can range from single "pick n mix" seeds upwards towards 10 packs. 10 packs are mainly for non feminized seeds. Otherwise they are typically 5 packs for feminized, depending on the breeder.

Average Pricing - Feminized = Single Seed $10 / 5 pack around $60 / 10 pack (if offered by breeder) $120+
Non Fem = Single Seed $8 / 10 pack $40 - $80

Ok first off, on multiple occasions, i've actually said positive things about attitude, some guy questioned if he was going to get his seeds or not, I said yeah don't sweat it, attitude are actually pretty good from all accounts. In times where I saw someone get a mug that they were billed heavily for was broken, i expressed my opinion that a $1 mug that was broken and you got overcharged for it in the first place was not that great.

With all the people on here, ready to sell attitudes services for them, and tell everyone how great they are, how is it possible for an honest new business to get started without trying to sell his advantages.

Our prices are lower, we don't do all the multiple shipping options that make you think your not going to get your seeds if you don't pay the extra for guaranteed.

Yes my prices are lower, they are set at the recommended retail price, I don't see the point in having lots of different options for shipping, I just think if we as seedbanks offer a stealth service, it should be at a set price.

Speedyseedz registration form does include a telephone field, if you look closely though the required isn't actually marked so you don't actually have to put anything in it, when i removed it completely, it caused more problems by requiring a phone but not having anywhere to put it in.

All our seeds come sealed in breeder packages, in the pre designated packet sizes. We do not package them nor handle individual seeds.

I've actually been very reserved in what I say about attitude as I want to achieve success properly, which is why i'm spending the time on these boards talking to people and getting to know everyone.

Well we have been operating mainly through the christmas period, so it has been delayed in some cases due to the holidays and bad snow in the uk and some areas of the states which has delayed flights, but it has varied from 6 days upwards, I will admit in some cases it has taken upto 11 days, but I put that down to bad weather things a little. But we use the fastest shipping methods possible and we try to ship the order the by the next postage day at the latest.

There isn't a postal service from the uk that will move the parcel any faster without using expensive couriers.

You guys need to get a life..seriously (Sorry I don't want to be mean). This board has become a conspiracy area for for seed banks....Just review genetics and your shopping experience. IMO there is no conspiracy or controversy unless you want to make one up.

I fully understand your input here. You're right in the sense that there is no problem or controversy unless people make it that way. Unfortunitely, I'm not the one that made it this way, other people have and I just made a thread about it. Not to mention, I have done my homework and have just put it together in one area. Well, between Speedy and Attitude anyway.

Yes,I placed 4 orders with Attitude in the last 12 months,Two stealth and two non stealth.All arrived.Fast shipping.So far i am satisfied with Attitude.

I used to be a big sensi fan, loved their stuff, but when your looking at the prices for some of there top end stuff, and you get mutants out of them and just some bad seeds, you lose a little bit of faith. Your seeds may well do ok, but i've seen on multiple occasions where sensi have failed, this is the reason behind this, same with greenhouse.

I've ordered from Attitude, and had now problems, I needed something to add variety to my upcoming indoor grow, so I decided to give Speedy the benefit of the doubt, and I placed an order last night, so far, customer service has been great, I'll comment further when I get my beans.

Fair enough...Any vast experience with Skunk #1 by Sensi??
Wouldn't most breeders have some "mutants" or germination issues from time to time?

not the quality ones, never had any such issue with serious or spice of life or paradise or quite a few others, sensi's seeds go upto $200, you'd expect better.

on the other hand skunk#1 is a fast selling strain, so you should be ok.

I made many orders from attitude...all arrived. Then one day I ordered Barneys Red Diesel ten pack and ZERO germ. I wrote to attitude and their responce was... we will forward your complaint to the breeder. I spent alot of money with them I was a good customer to have and thats how I was treated...screw you not our problem, so I never ordered from them again. We pay alot of money for seeds, I don't think a little respect is alot to ask in return. I will now only order from companys that stand behind their products and customers.

I have ordered 2 times from Attitude. I havent ordered from Speedy as of yet.
Im pretty happy w/ Attitude, I got a bum 5 pack of seeds and they took care of it. They ship quick enough and i got both orders, so im happy w/ that. The shipping is pretty expensive if you go stealth. IMHO its a little bit much, but it is what it is.

Ive never seen Speedy badmouth Attitude, the only thing close to negative about Attitude that ive seen him post is about their shipping prices. At that he just said he thought it was a little high, and honestly I agree. You gotta admit that spending $25 for shipping a few seeds is kinda expensive.

As far as the selection differences between the 2 i have noticed something. I know of all the breeders on Speedyseedz. I havent read much negative stuff about any of those breeders, they seem to be the cream of the crop. Attitude offers all the same breeders and more, some of which I would never buy from or buy from again. Attitude also seems to have a hardon for Greenhouse Seed Company, they pimp GHSC's gear pretty hard.

For all you saying speedy is bad mouthing attitude,is that because the owner(speedy) comes on here and gives his voice and answers questions,can any one prove 100% that attitude doesn't have people doing their lip service for them,i mean hell you give someone a free seed and they will tear apart any one in attitudes way.you give them 2 seeds and they would blow up the competition.So is attitude above having kids troll for them if given a free seed or a poster of a bud for thier bedroom,or a mug to show the world you got seeds,i don't know,but it is highly likely..

Glad to see this thread come back up, I've ordered from Attitude twice, and Speedyseedz once.

Attitude got me my beans, and they all look fine, although I still have concerns about the size of my Seedsman Skunk Haze seeds, but that's all on the breeder.

Speedy got me my order quick, the first time, he sent me the wrong seeds, I contacted him, he got back to me in minutes, told me he realized he'd made an error the day before, and he'd already sent out the seeds I ordered already, even gave me a tracking number, when the seeds arrived(at the same time as a shipment from attitude that was made 5 days before Speedy reshipped) To my surprize, I opened the package and see my seeds, and a 5 pack of Ceres Skunk fems. Communication was awesome, and he fixed his error and then some, nothing but props to Speedy.

I've been extremely happy with the service and quality of bean I've received from Attitude over the years. BUT the fact that Speedy is "present and accounted for" says a lot to me. Speedyseeds will definately get a shot to compete before I make my next purchase.
