You claimed the light was 100 watts. It's not. It's 300. How are you not getting this?
Johnny, when dealing with anyone like Detroitwill-Not, just remember the immortal works of Mark Twain:

"Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience."

It’s a room in a basement. 6x10ish. Running a 8 in exhaust fan n canister filter with no dehumidifier and no ac. Small heater to maintain 75 degrees. My room is consistently at 75 degrees and 40-45 % rh.
Ah, you're still venting the room. That makes sense with only one light in a cold basement.

Ok.. I really don’t wanna argue with you no more Johnny, so let’s try to keep this civil. My room is in my basement. And it’s not about the reduction of power it’s about the reduction of heat. As far as having the heater in the room goes.
300 watts is 300 watts.

Reducing the power your lighting rig uses shouldn't have you going from an AC to a heater. It's not that big of a difference. I know first hand, as several years ago I pulled 2 HID 600s out of one of my 4x8s and replaced them with 900 watts of cobs. The only difference in HVAC was the removal of the 8 inch inline that was pulling hot air off the hoods.

And I get that they’re listing says that it uses 300 W of power but I don’t believe that’s true. But like BK told me to do. I’m going to go out and buy a kilowatt meter and I’ll get back to you I’m just exactly how much they truly consume
It's gonna be approximately 300 watts. I can already tell you. Give or take. i don't know where you're getting 100 watts from.

No there are three of them in the room
Hmm. Well I have one true 600w lamp warming up an uninsulated add-on room about that same size that gets super cold when the lights are off. You need more actual power, man. You'll push up some decent looking buds as is, but with proper lights you'll get way better results.

Hello all, just sitting here smoking some God Bud and hoping I made the right call. Been looking at lights for a while now and was aiming at the Spider Farmer 4000. I am using a MH/HPS 1000 watt system but was looking to help with heat issues. I have had many pointing at HLG but the price tag just seemed unreasonable. I emailed HLG Canada today since the RIU coupon code doesnt work in Canada and they gave me a code for 10% off and confirmed that the lights are CSA certified with a 3 year warranty so after sitting here all day debating I just smoked another joint and pulled the trigger. Now I have a HLG 600 RSPEC on the way. Growing takes so long I just want to give my plants the best I can. Not sure why I am babbling this out over RIU but guess I am dealing with the sticker shock, lol. Anyway this is going into a 4X4 tent that will next grow 2 Maui Waui and 2 Shiva Skunk in 5 gallon pots full of Coco/Perlite. Wish me luck fellow growers and thanks to all for their previous guidance.
I'm flowering under QB288 3500K Rspec right now. It's my first time with this board but not with QB288's. I'll let you know my opinion or feel free to check my journal. I'm nearing the end as today is day 53 of 12/12.

He's in a 4x6 - I think. 900 watts of Mars is plenty of power for that area.

He said 6x10. If it's getting cold he either has a hell of a draft or isn't pushing enough watts. We had a brutal winter and I didn't need to break out any space heaters.
A lot of ventilation to be sure. I have 3m furnace filters in that filter out any pests and dust n such n a 8 in exhaust fan running to push the heat outside and pull in the cold air from my main basement. Also I have steam heat in my home. If it matters.

Why are you venting so hard that you need a heater then? Any power savings you're getting from the LEDs you're throwing out the window on the heater.
