HLG 550v2 - VS - Alibaba light

Again, 3 gram per Watt is not that hard, even with HPS.
If... if you veg for God knows how many weeks and you got huge plants before you flip.
If... if you have not 600 Watt of HPS above a 3 x 3 or 4 x 4, but above 5 x 5 or 6 x 6 or even more.
If... if you don't bother too much about quality but only about quantity.

That is why I am so curious about a growjournal of people who get 3 grams per watt on Led.

Id say the easiest 3g/w would be an auto grow, with low watts per area and heavy flowering spectrum, 20 or 24 hours of light. The amount of light is twice as much as 12/12.

As soon as you go lower than 30w/square foot and low hanging distance all sorta shit is possible. 11 week strains get almost 40% more light than a 8 week strain.

Its not impossible. We stumbled on to 1.9g/w. But next crop was shit. So some runs are simply great.

I can see some one hitting 3gpw if they are running 20 w per sq ft. Thats 60 grams per sq ft, not hard to imagine. I become much more skeptical when i hear 3 gmw at 50 watts per sq ft. That 150g in a square ft. Thats over 5 ounces per sq ft. Those would have to be some of the densest buds in history.

Not if these 150 grams came from a huge plant that vegged for many many weeks.

And perhaps the person claiming 3 grams per watt only has 200 Watt of this modern led above a 3 x 3.

Grams per watt by itself does not tell the whole story.
The factors 'surface' and 'time' are also important.
But because we are so used that most people have a certain amount of light above a surface that we consider 'standard' (mostly 600 Watt HPS above 3 x 3 or 4 x4) we think that when someone claims 3 grams per Watt, that he uses the same standard.

have done big plant, medium plant...i will never get those numbers

if i used 100 per 4 'x 4 ' and grew single colas maybe i could up the weight

but i don't sell weed and guess i don't really care

except on a scientific level lol

3 per w..?

show me the grow..?

[and this is coming from some one who has grown single plants indoors that weighed a kilo]

.and no.. the plant here was not finished yet

Saying 3gpw isn't hard, even with hps ..... Is mind blowing to me, struggled most of my SE hid career trying to hit just 1gpw with no light mover .

3 pounds from a 450w led fixture is easy huh?

Took a vigorous NL hybrid, high CO2 levels from beginning to end, top tier osram blurple, flawless health/environment throughout to just barely touch 2gpw ONCE with led of any kind for me.

Probably should reevaluate my cannabis grows in the future..... Or just lie

Not saying it is very effective.
But there was this store near where I lived and they had 1 huge plants in their shop under a 600.
I think the space was 5 x 5.
They vegged it for weeks and weeks.
Then they flipped and 14 weeks later or so they harvested.
It was almost 2 kilo of yield.
Counting everything: nice buds, foxtails, popcorn.
Looking at the electricity bill, it was a very inefficient grow.

The guy with the name that is to hard to duplicate who grows on IG and claims he grows 3 gram per watt...
No clue how he grows. What space. How much time.
And 3 gram lousy quality is not the same as 3 grams of hard nuggets.

Really?
So you don't mind if you only have 50 grams of good weed, instead of 150 grams of the same good weed, in the same amount of time and with the same total spending?

Grams per watt doesn’t mean much unless total hours are factored in, both veg and flower. To thy own logic be true.
Indeed. This was the theme of my long g/khw yadayada answer i never got posted yesterday. They dont sell power per w, they sell it per kwh. G/w is really only a factor if you have limited amps on your power setup.

It used to be for bragging rights when most grows looked the same and the difference between .5 and 1/g was mostly the grower.

With genetics being all over the place (quality versus yield) and styles of grow and lighting being so different its really become less significant. But its sooo sooo good breaking your old record, even if you know it was technicly not a masterpiece grow. The only problem later becomes convincing people on these boards of your results cause theyre growing under different circumstances.
