HLG-550 vs PLC-6

OK, I'll take your word for that. I just keep hearing how the Veros cost less than the Crees.
They absolutely are cheaper. If you are buying Cree in bulk and getting a discount, then you would compare that to buying in bulk for the Vero. Not in bulk it's $40 vs $29, so...

Luminus cxm22 even better deals....
Citi and Luminus do great things at low wattage for under 20$ at retail price. Way less when you buy in bulk, if we are comparing prices of people manufacturing lights.

Thanks, don't see everyone trying to help as grow cops, many intend for you to benefit by pointing out what you may feel are small things the3y are just picking on.

With HID, you can pretty much hang your light at the predetermined height and go with that. A simple recipe repeated thousands of times. With DIY lights, it may be wise to invest in a par meter because your eyes can tell you very little of what the plants see.
Agreed.
Maybe I’m wrong on the comparison between the db at 62 and the V29B at 95. But prove it.

And when I say prove it, I mean make a par map in a tent, because no one grows plants in a sphere.

I’m of the opinion this is the best wAy to compare.

What’s so hard about doing a par map on a 4x4 or 5x5 in a tent? (I have 4x4 and 5x5 setup) Like I said, you’d have to show 18% more ppfd to be the same value. View attachment 4066940

I posted my 5x5 ppfd on my light. Actual measured ppfd, not calculated or theoretical.

5x5 reflective, 24”, 230 volt, 22 degrees

I don’t wanna war with you bro but I’ve shown my cards and you havnt. (If you’ve posted sphere data or par maps where can I find it?)

IMO if everyone used this standard it would be fairly simple for customers to compare between models, and even for them to verify at home with a basic par meter. There’s so much lieing going on in this industry, this is a great way to show the customer what kind of par levels they are to expect at the tops of their colas. No customer has a sphere at home.

Have a good one
Also agreed. I would like to add that BCB has & is one of the best values on the mkt based on the info I've had access to.
I mean dude, you were selling your fully assembled lights ready to go for the same cost GG was trying to sell the same components.
Don't get sucked into an argument over anything based on value. Especially w/ the King of contradiction. It's just pissing against the wind.
I will say though, a grower verifying your mapping would be the simplest way around all this noise IMO.

Hell they can both send me a free light and I’ll test them lol

You are grouping a Vero 29 C and a vero 29 D/B in the same category, you cant do that, the C is a WAY better cob and its more expensive. For my costs, bulk dbs are cheaper than bulk C's. The D's and B's are slightly cheaper than my cost for a DB.

Your white side panda film will boost your PAR map readings over a non reflective surface. Compare readings with a dull non reflective surface.
Its a 5x10 tent sectioned down to one side being 5x5 and other side being 4x4. all walls are reflective. or do you mean the bottom piece?

I'm saying some light goes down to the white panda film, back up to your fixture, reflects back, and is added to your measurement. For grins, all other things being the same, try a non-reflective bottom surface and see if your readings change.

Id do it it i wasnt phasing out that light bro.
So, do you have new modems coming out?
Many comp. are making redesigning their fixtures this yr based around newer tech. Are you sticking w/ just cobs & do you have anything in the works?
