The hlg100 is perfect for a 2x2.

the HLG 100 is mainly a veg light but it can still get the job done for flowering. the ts600 is not as powerful but it has “full spectrum” so it has some red in it for flowering. You could use either light and have great results in that space.

running a photo + a auto in the same space can cause some juggling on your part. You absolutely cannot harvest both plants at the same time. Autos need a good 18+ hr of light for good results. Photos need a 12/12 light schedule to flower. You can veg in the same tent no problem.

IF you are Not going to cure in your tent, you can do what I do. I will start with my auto and wait until the plant is 1 or 2 months in its growth. Add the photo and start you photo plant. Harvest the auto and the photo can be throw into 12/12 schedule. This method requires a separate drying room.

Brilliant mate il have to go back to drawing board as didnt even think of drying/curing!! If they are started at seperate times!!. Just curious if you started them at the same time say the auto i have now started flowering about half way through week 4 so if all went smoothly growth wise ( how many weeks would you veg your photo on average?? ) could you not just switch the lights to 12/12 for the photo and the auto at this point?? This is all new to me with photos as never done one ive done a couple of autos before and always had the lights just set at 18/6 never had any problems would the 12/12 cause the auto an issue?? These are the 2 autos i did before the first one is with the ts600 the 2nd is with the hlg start to finish ( ive upgraded tent etc since then aswel

Depends which one he has. I have 3 HLG 100's in 3000K. They're great lights. I've actually got a couple running now.

You would most likely just get a lower yield than expected with the auto if switching to 12/12. I run autos 20/4, Some people do 24/0, and 18/6.

vegging time depends on how large you want the plant to get. The main thing to be concerned about is your grow space. If you veg a plant to large you can run into the issue of outgrowing your space during flowering. I.E. if you have a 4ft tall tent, you need to leave room for the Light and fans. so let’s assume you now have 3ft of space left over. You probably should try to flip to flower before you hit a 18”. 4-8weeks is usually what people are veggin for. Just listen to the plant.

Things can get out of control fast. If you notice your plant is vigorous and going to outgrow your tent you need to start training to keep it manageable. You don’t want your colas getting burnt because they are growing into your light.

Now, if I was you…. You already got another light…and you seem pretty eager to get more plants growing…just buy another tent and you can get the best results for each plant.

Question for those using the HLG 100 V2:

How long do you veg under the 100W before switching to a more powerful light? Previous grows I've vegged with the 100 up until the flip. This grow I am changing things up and switching to the 600rspec during early veg and plan on steadily increasing lux before the flip. I don't want to waste energy nor shock the plants. Is there consensus on whether light should be steadily increased during veg or do most people wait until the flip?

You can run two tents off one ventilation system. You could grab a y connector for the ducting and get creative. it’s totally a learning game. Every run you will keep tweaking things until you find what works for you.

Usually you start low power with seedlings. I shoot for 250par. Then once they a little bigger I bump them up to around 400par. Once I flip I’ll increase it by 100par each day until I hit 600-900par depending on how the plants respond.

I veg and flower with my 550r specs. If I had a dedicated veg light I would use it. I don’t and don’t really feel it’s necessary for me since I veg and flower in the same room.
