I was busy with so much shit, I didn't really get to absorb any of it. I know that doesn't make sense. But hey, I had school deadlines and a job. I don't remember much. What should I be remembering?

I was just wondering. Remember the swell of patriotism the food and fuel shortages that we felt more in economic ways than actually being hungry, do you remember how army ads were fucking everywhere. Iraq was different because there was very little civilian support, I think the US people will stand behind fighting with Iran.

you mean goldman and sachs or exxon mobile?

You do realize that Iran had a democracy and we went in and helped overthrow the government for a dictatorship. Once again, for oil. We helped create the monster that is the Iranian regime today. The Iranian population have been fighting for democracy again but are brutally and systematically put down. Thousands have died or disappeared. Thousands more are political prisoners. I've mentioned this before. The Iranian people want to live in peace. Unfortunately it's the Regime and the clerics that have all the weaponry and power.

No, I think we will get behind the fight because most not all but most Americans miss the idea of US being the strongest nation in the world. And Iran seems to not understand that part of who we are. When we have an enemy a real enemy we fight like dogs. I'm really not a fan of going to war but with all this icbm talk Iran is trying to call our bluff, but they fail to see that if our security is threatened we will join together to stop that threat. I don't think they really are a threat, but if they are allowed to make US look weak every other country run by some psycho is going to think we can be attacked. And I think most of US agree that's a bad thing.

No offense, you sound like you have whats known as the "little man" complex. Or Short guy syndrome. lol

Anytime someone with short guy syndrome feels like he is being made to look weak he lashes out with a violent fit of anger. The American government suffers from this. Everybody loves watching the little man get beat up too.

I think the biggest issue is cultural, we are just not the same people at all.
The biggest issue is our aggressive attitude towards them. We over throw their democracy, they turn into an Islamic autocracy. We give their neighbors wmds which they use against the Iranian people, then we surround them with military bases and label them as part of the axis of evil, they respond by developing nukes.

If we didn't keep poking them with a stick, they probably wouldn't hate us so much.

Wow, I pegged you all wrong...your just a ranting idiot slippers; you should care or you should just keep your damn mouth shut if your not going to add any viable opinion or details from your own research or understanding of the situation. You sound like someone who has never seen a war with your own eyes.

I mean, if you truly witnessed war, I doubt you would be ignorantly saying and liking others who believe we should bomb them.

It is ignorance like this that got us into previous wars. Before I was in Iraq (for 3 deployments); and even through majority of my 1st year I felt like an uneducated twit like yourself, but after my buddies fell, those nationals we worked with fell, and watching the destruction of children and families my entire outlook changed.

As a person who served my country, I am fully aware I served this country for the opposite in which you speak.

You need to get a clue and so does your buddy sniffers; Iran is a threat, Iran needs to be kept at an "arms length"!

Both of your statements are pure stupidity and a lack of effort on your part to know what the hell is really going on.
You took my 'Like' the wrong way..... Saying he wants bombs dropped is flat out retarded... I liked it for being a typical brainless comment

Anyhow, I too served my country. So please, Zip it in that respect.

We need to leave them the fuck alone. That's all I'm saying, Americas propaganda machine is hard at work...And it shows

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1953_Iranian_coup_d'état

The 1953 Iranian coup d'état (known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup[SUP][3][/SUP]) was the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh on 19 August 1953, orchestrated by the intelligence agencies of the United Kingdom and the United States under the name TPAJAX Project.[SUP][4][/SUP] The coup saw the transition of Mohammad-Rezā Shāh Pahlavi from a constitutional monarch to an authoritarian one who relied heavily on United States support to hold on to power until his own overthrow in February 1979.[SUP][5]

No, I really don't have little guy syndrome lol. I have looked at this historically, and almost every time we have someone getting super brave and wanting to challenge US people die. At the end of the day I hope no one has to die, and it may mean I have a nationalist bone in me. But I don't want to see anymore dead Americans. Not that I want to see Iranians dead, but this is what their government wants. I am a firm supporter of the US stopping a threat before it begins, before any American boy has to die. What should we do? They can not have nukes. Once they get that you realise it can't be taken back. I don't mean to ramble I just am so afraid of this war, it will cost a terrible price, but do you belive like dome do that just because we fucked up in Iraq we should just take whatever Bullshit Iran wants to do to US? I am not a fan of our recent conflict, but its a different fight with Iran. They are developing nukes while setting up a muddled site right underneath us. That is a threat.

This admin needs to stop pretending that Iran is going to bow to pressure and start behaving. Iran's strategy is to cause as much instability in the middle east as possible without actually provoking their own demise. Problem is, that was Saddam's strategy as well.

And our strategy seems to control the region via puppet governments. Hard to blame them for wanting to destabilize that.

This is all based on whether you actually trust the intelligence community to give real intelligence. Instead of what has been the case in every conflict since before Viet Namn. Won't post it again but the video "why we fight" is actually quite good. Gives you the reasons in black and white...(actually color,,,but you get it)
