He didn't want me to prune it, he was pruning it when I arrived. I noted that he had pruned many of his own oaks, he claimed my oak was on the easement. There is no easement. Turns out my oak was despoiling his view of his perfect little vineyard

Oh yes Hunter. This guy wanted a cutsie name with Village included, wanted to turn the town into Solvang north. Solvang is a small town near Santa Barbara originally settled by Scandanavians 100 yrs ago, now its a tourist trap with danish bakeries, scandanavian antiqueshops and smorgasborgs. My town doesn't even have a hook other than it being an old cowtown. Basically they want to fuck the town and turn it into boutiques and shit so their wives have something to do

There is a huge lake that straddles the north carolina & Virginia border very close to where I live. For many decades the land surrounding the lake consisted of single family homes and farms . But as time passed the farms were sold off and gated communities sprung up all along the shore of the lake. And with the gated communities came their residents. Most were transplants ( yuppies)from different parts of the country looking for their share of lakeside country living. This is where the problems began. What these new transplants didn't know was the main town close to the lake wasn't very welcoming to people who weren't from the area. Dozens of new businesses sprang up in this town during the early years only to fail after several years and those that didn't fail were robbed numerous times by the fine townsfolk that claimed the town as their home and several store owners were killed in these robberies. It appears to me that a status quo has been attained..... The yuppies can live in their fancy lakeside homes and drive their fancy cars and send their kids to their private schools but they better keep their ass out of town because they might not make it back home before tee time.
I don't think this would have been a problem if hippies had bought lakeside property !
