Damn acid, look at those trees! You've got a forest comin out a single lady, a sticky, smelly, magical forest.
How do you get your lower colas/ branches up that high? I know the plant does that when it likes the conditions and all but what size of light are you running? side lighting?

Thanks Dan, yeah she's so freaking sticky and she smells so nicee ;) the smell is all over but you can clearly smell the grapefruit.
Dan there was nothing done to the plant, she just grew like that naturally, I had some issues with her at first, but then she just picked up and off she was.
I was surprised my self by the size of this "little" auto lol but I knew there are two phenos out there, one is mine the "big one" and the other one is more short and bushy. She also lost almost all of her fan leafs due to the early issue, but because of that I think the light was able to penetrate more deeply to the lower buds.

No side lightning just a 400w hps in a 3' x 1.5' x 5' home made box. Tops of the plant are no more then 8" away from the bulb temps are just sitting between 75-78F in 3gal pots, ffof mixed with perlite and ff big bloom and tiger bloom. But on my next I might add my T5 panel for some side lightning.

I bet the hps helps with the big branches. Much better light penetration than the flors I'm running. I let my last plants go until the buds got hard then started lookin at trichs and I feel that worked well. But those trees are still drying so my confidence that method may not be justified.

Hey Dan did you trim your plant first or did you just hang the whole plant to dry?
I know that comment wasnt directed at me but ill throw my 2¢ as always :)

I have found from experience trimming a dry plant sucks, trimming a wet one sucks too but not even remotly as bad as a dry one. the leaves become brittle and the sticky resin on your fingers is like gluing a bunch of crumpled up leaves to the tips of your fingers lol

That's what I read, that its a BIG PAIN IN THE BUTT to trim the plant after drying like that, why I'm asking is that my house is at 20%RH and I know my plant will most likely dry faster then we like, and I can't seem to get that smell of bud, don't know what I'm doing wrong, it smokes great but the smell can get that dialed in..

yeah im still working on that feat myself, my bud tastes great but you have to kind break it up to get the good smells out of it. also cant seem to get it to look perfect...maybe this round that will change.

Matt EXACTLY, when you break it up in a crusher it smells wonderful but it doesn't have that smell by it self.

Nope, never tried that but on the other hand I only harvested twice so far, so no experience in that department yet.

I have never tried this but there is a method of curing by wrapping in newspaper. Basically you dont fully dry the buds and wrap them in newspaper so it will absorb the moisture over time. Then when they are dry they use the jar method. Ive heard from my buddy that this slow drying process kept the sweet smell on the buds so nice.

I think I'll just have to get me a humidifier or something to get my RH up, to get them to dry slower, because right now they will dry in about 3-4 days and I know that's not god.

Yeah when they dry so fast like that the outside does tend to lose its smell potency.

I was just reading a thread about whole plant hanging actually. No I trimmed it all up fan and sugar leaves gone (well saved) I left all the branches (cept one so it can lay flat) and have them laying on cooking racks in a cab. I left the structure intact to try and slow down the drying.

I know what youre dealing with, it's 35% here which is pretty high for us. Thats part of why I'm using the cab to try and regulate the drying environment. I'm about to put a dish with some water in the bottom of the cab. I have a damp sponge in there now but it does not seem to make any difference in RH.
