higher ppm every 24-30 hours?? more than one deficiency??

alright so veg week#2 Lights: T5 sunblazer 6 lamp 54w 30k lumens Runs for 20 hours, and HPS 600w runs at 60%-75% for 18 hours. Grow tent 4x4 70F-82F.

Plant 1: Not topped 6-7 sets of leaves, new growth skinny lime green leaves all bunching up, older leaves brown tips, darker green in the middle but lighter green around the edges some browning spots in the lighter green.

Plants 2: Topped at leave set 4 and has grown 2 sets past that on both new branches. The first set of leaves died and cut off, sets 2-4 brown and fat almost rounder tips, sets 5-6 are less fat and a lot less brown tiped, and alittle light green.

Nutes: Advanced Nutrients- Micro, Grow, Bloom, B-52, and voodoo juice.

Res records: Week # 1- Tap water original ppm 560 non aired out added nutrients in the order voodoo juice, micro, b-52, grow, and bloom straight into the 3 gallon res which then was raised to a ppm of 820. Then i Phed the water to 5.5. i did the same thing to both reservoirs. Temperature of res 60F. 24-48 hours later i checked the reservoir PPM: 1120 PH: 6.3 Temp: 65F. I then added bottled drinking water to bring the PPM, Ph and temp down to prety close to the same as it was a couple day prior with prety close to the same water level. this has been continuing to happen even during the second week

Week #2- Bottled everest water PPM 5 PH 6.9. Mixed the nutrients Micro 9 ml/3 gallons 15 mins later added grow 9 ml/ 3 gallons and bloom 1.2 ml/ 3 gallons, then voodoo juice 13.2 ml/ 3 gallons, and B-52 around 35-40 ml/ 3 gallons with an ending ppm of 560, and PH 5.9. temps 65F

What kind of plants?(Strain)An indica will need different nutes as opposed to a sativa.I think you should flush(2-3 days) and start over.Reduce the feed a bit and go from there....When in doubt flush them out.

right now i have 2 g13 X skunk and i believe its a sativa dominate. so with this higher sativa strain i should flush ever 2-3 days and use less nutrients?

i found that i should use half the recommend serving on the botanicare cal-mag plus which recommends 10ml/gal so i will be useing 5ml/gal for my plants, but unsure how much to use for my seedlings

i have 4 General Hydroponics power growers each one has a dripper that builds up a salt like substance prety quickly what should i do?

Get a water report or read it online. Your water supplier is required to regularly test and post or make available so you know what makes the stupidly high PPM like the above poster said. Next your PPM is far too high in my very limited hydro experience. My only hydro failure so far, being self-taught with help from RIU members, came when my PPM exceeded 800. I have a White Skunk right now that is thick, bushy, been topped 6 times, was planted 28 November, is a foot tall with a thick as hell main stem - 250 PPM. Roots are unreal. My tap water PPM is 88 so figure my increase with nutes from there. Not much.

BTW - one picture is worth a thousand words. Kill the HPS or MH if taking pics. Post the things upright. If you can't figure out how to rotate a picture then growing pot is probably too technical a task.

i went to add more water to my topped plant and the roots had this brown mucus like substance in the water on the roots just on that spot of the roots also on the airstones tube. i emptied the res, and put 5.5 phed water with 33 ppm everst water

every day i go to water my plants and the ppms are significantly higher than when i set them!? why is that?
because your plants drink water... that water evaporates, leaving heavier nutes... add back clear water and it should level out... I'd suggest that maybe your rez is too small... more water is easyier to keep in line...

as far as ph swings... that's mainly a problem with your PH down.. most companyies use some citric acid... which evaporates... so it slowly rises in flowering...

Look for a substitue like Battery acid (Pep-boys, auto-zone) or Murietic acid (home depot Pool supplies) dilue to 1/10 in water...

add water back each day and mix it up to see how much it changes... that should give you a better idea of what your plants are drinking and what is going on...

the tops of your plants are burning, raise your lights a bit, second, you have a watering issue... the crab claw issue you see is generally over watering... in a hydro system I'd say it's not enough oxyen.. put a larger airstone in the res, and flood slightly less

yeah that makes sense. so yesterday i filled the res to 3 gallons and set it to around 500 ppm with a ph of 5.65 temps were 68F its week 3! so when i check the water tomorrow morning should i raise the level to 3 gallons with bottled water that has a 45ppm naturally and should i put the ph in the water low so the reservoir goes back down to like 5.6-5.8?

i use Advanced nutrients ph down, and the non ph perfect micro, grow, bloom with B-52 and voodoo.

And your saying i should use car battery acid to put my ph down?

i will raise them. do you think i should turn the HPS off longer or completely off?

well the res water isnt even touching the bottom of the big net pot type thing. the roots are haning in air for about 3-6 inches. when i got a bigger air stone the air pump was to weak to blow bubbles through it all.

the plant that wasnt topped and is real droppy is growing slowly and looking alittle better on the top leaves. the roots are still growing well slow, but not as slow as the plant looks.

the topped plant is doing really well nice green alittle brown spots on lower leaves. roots doing really well.

i will put more pictures in a couple hours

oh and my little seedling plant around 2-3 weeks since i put it into the rockwool about second set of real leaves has dark purple stem and a real weak stem.
