I have 400w hps in a tent with intake and out take and fan inside with air con and my temps are still 82 degrees fahrenheit?

I have a bigger tent (1 x 1 x 2 m), lamp of the same power, extraction fan, passive in-take. I had the same problem (temperature was up to 85 F) along with low humidity (40-45%). I've installed lamp cooling system and bought evaporative cooler, and it solves both my problems. Now temperature is no more than 77 F, usually 74-75 F. The desert cooler is outside of the tent, working on low speed, and I have to switch it off some times.
On the picture you can see a reflector with ducts, you can also notice extraction fan on the ceiling. Ballast is hanging behind the reflector, outside of it. It looks really cheap and awful, I guess you don't want to see it =]

Yer but I can't afford a cool tube or more fans I just blew 400 on a air con
Sorry, I don't really know what else can be done without investing a little more money, I'm a newbie too. 82 F isn't too hot I think. Try to open your tent if it's getting hotter, you'll lose some light, but it's better than fry your plants.
What's relative humidity inside the tent btw? If it's low (<45%) you can craft an evaporative cooler by yourself, it's not so hard AFAIK, but you need to buy some materials and a fan ofc. You can find manuals on YouTube.

Oh yeah, that's a good idea. My girls were sleeping from noon till 6 pm, the hottest hours. Today I've switched to 12/12 so now their "night" is from 9 am till 9 pm.
And 45 Celsius! ~_~ It seems you live at hell. At least the climate is the same =]
Is it your first grow?

Put the ACoutside of the tent near the intake. With it in the tent you may exhausting the cool air before it has an impact ormay have spots with varying tents. A little jet stream so to speak.
