High Temps.. How To Make It Workable?

Hello. So im well aware u want to keep your temps around 75-80 that isnt a option for every situation

Size 5ftx5ftx8ft

In one of my grow rooms I dont have any real way to get fresh cold air in there. i can get fresh air but not cold.

So my question is. What steps need to be taken to help a plant survive in 90 plus Temps. and what are some diy methods of cooling the air in there? I read frozen water bottles infront of a fan? any input on that idea?

Reason i cant get cold air in there is. 2 walls go to 2 stairwells and the back wall goes to my neighbors closet so i cant cut into any of those.

Then i have my door. So i figured maybe we can do something with that. so i tried and it wasnt enough. ontop of that the room that door attaches to is 800sqft and the AC in there hardly works. And that room is almost always HOT.

I had moved my plants outa there and into a grow cabinet i made. but now that there getting alot bigger i cant fit my LST in the cabinet and that is in the HOT closet

So please any ideas would be wonderful.

maybe try some pvc tubing, and stick a couple fans inside...one end have right up to the a/c vent, and the other end blowing in your room...same issues with temp, andthis was about the only thing i could do to cool my closet down...gallon jugs of ice in front of my fans only took the temp down one degree at the most, and just made a wet mess...

You could add Co2,

Plants like the temp in the high 80s low 90s with Co2 enrichment

how much does c02 run and how practical is it to use for just a small personal grow?

yeah i was scopen out the situation for abit. and i dont think i would be able to run pvc from the ac to the room. would be around 100 ft of pvc to run to get to the ac and around the corners. and then its not really stealth anymore. and anyone that came here would know something was up lol.

It is super easy to add a trunk onto your existing AC ducting and run it right into your closet with a nice vent cover on it

It would cost maybe $10 bones at Home Depot.

Or get this bad boy and vent into your ceiling!

well problem with that is i dont have built in AC. i use window units i have 1 in every window . i might be looking into that 100 dollar ac unit :-/ now that is a window unit so im guessing the exhaust vent on it is most likely the entire back of it that would be sticken out the window. how would i vent that to the attic? just run some 6" duct right to it? it wont have anything to attach to so im thinking just throw a fan on 1 end of the duct?

Maybe try buying Botanicare Silica blast, i heard it helps plant resist high heat and mold and stuff.

hey bro they make portable ac units that you can place in your garden and duct air into and out of them, i use a window mounted one to cool my garden and i couldn't surrive with out it in the summer

Yeah smallest portable ac unit i can find local is a 10k btu that actually puts out 8k btu. but it cost around 350-400 dollars and thats abit much for me to spending on alittle grow

You could get a 20lbs tank - $200
regulator 180.00
in a small grow space you could probably go a month between fillings at $40 each.
So about $400 to get started.

A small sealed room is perfect for C02, your plants will love it

OR! you can go get yourself a $2.50 spray bottle, and every few hours or so, as often as you can, spray them and the whole environment with filtered water. Also place lots of tall cups of water on the ground. When humidity is increase, it takes more energy to increase the temperature of the air. My temps were 91+, but with these two systems they come down also 10 degrees. I spray them a couple times during their 12 hour on cycle. Don't spray too much as you can create mold.

Or just get a small humidifier. Don't know how much those run though.
