high ph

i was wondering if its ok to use vinegar to lower ph im trying to get from 7.8 to 6.0 i have a 20gal tote with 3 pots in the lid

The non-chem way to ph.

I've used vinegar to lower pH and Baking soda to up it. In my opinion it's just easier to buy pH up or down from a Hydro store or pet store and it's not that expensive. Damn near killed every plant in my 2nd grow over doing it with the vinegar.

useing vinegar lemon juice etc. will work for adjusting ph but it doesnt work as good as the stuff from the hydro store,when I used it my ph had to be adjusted every day,with the hydro stuff I dont have to adjust it as often,also most nutes today have ph buffers to keep the ph in balance,so if your mixing your nutes right your ph should end up around 5.8 anyway,when my ph starts to drift is when I change out my res.

I've seen these tablets from the pet store that dissolve and change the pH to around 7.0, are those any good or consistent? (even though I'm sure you want a lower pH then 7...)

If your paranoid about going to the hydro shop you can always use an online retailer such as HTG which ships in discreet packaging to order from. If your paranoid about having it sent to your grow spot you can always have it sent to a friend and tell them it's a gift for your girl/whoever and she can't know you got it. I personally know that what your using will work but IMO your adding other things in your res which can cause harmful bacteria growth such as the lemon juice. I am not saying that in a pinch it won't work but there are better ways JMO though. Good luck and happy growing.

VO you always bring the vids bro and this guy is pretty with it and scottster those tabs work for a fish tank but they aren't really great for growing MJ.
