I'm just wondering how much high humidity through the night cycle (70%) will affect my grow my plants are now in week 5 of flower? Everything seems good but i hear for you're last few weeks you wanna be drying the air to tighten the buds? Do i need to invest in a dehumidifier ?

This is my first grow so im still unsure about certain things.

No.IM pretty sure ppl just want to mimick a tropical environment for their plants, but its not even at all nessessary and will only promote mold. I run my flower room as dry as possible and just let the humidity of watering my plants in veg to supply adacuate humidity. I believe the drier the more resins/trics will form. Most of my buds look like they have been rolled in powdered sugar.
You're probably going to need one that pulls about a quart of water per 12 hrs. I think I paid $80 for mine. Keep fungicide on hand for any break outs, it can devastate your crop in a matter of hours (airbourne). There are homemade fungicide recipes online. what to look for constantly/daily before harvest: pics: bend your buds over to look inside for any dingy color, mostly starts at the calyxes. This is like stage 2-3 of botrytis (bud rot), this is not smokable

You got some big looking colas, thats the kind that give me the biggest problem with mold. The shit would start deep inside them. I'd get that dehumidifier ASAP and get your humidity under 50 % for the last weeks of flower.

At the very least or ASAP get some Damp Rid. Get both of the forms they sell; hanging and the drip container.

Tu no tango el humido alto en bloomo.

I got the same exact humidity. 55% day time 70%+ night time. 55% if perfect for the first 2-3 weeks flowering. Then 45% for the next 3 weeks and 35% or under after that. When I turn on the central ac it will drop the humidity really fast, probably faster than a dehumidifier but then temps get too cold. So I just bought a 4 quart dehumidifier from home Depot for $60. Haven't got it in the mail yet but itashouldbe ggood for a small 5x5 or 6x6 space.

Yh im getting one today. Im not to worried about mold though as im pretty sure my hygro meters measuring the humidity wrong somehow.. basiclly it seems the hygro meter itself measures humidity not the wire i have between the foliage, now the temps between the wire and the meter are huge in different like 10c.. so im.wondering ig i haf my gro meter im tue same place as my wire how much it would dropped with spike in temps.. and btw i just thought of this now

Yeah definitely that'll should work. What's your room size? I got a 4 quart which is about the same size as a 5 liter dehumidifier. Should get the job done for sure.

Woops mine is a 4 pint, so yours is way bigger, so you will have no problems with that. That should drop your rh plenty and do it fast.

Just went in and the humidity was at 35% on the light cycle.. if my predictions are right it shouldnt go above 50% in the night cycle, the dehumidifier did wonders for my room str8 away i only have it on its lowest settings as its a big dehumid..lets just hope my buds start to tighten now as the colas on my plants are huge they just havnt started to tighten up
