Hiding it from parents

Yea, growing at your parents house is just begging for trouble. Even if they were cool with it, its still breaking the golden rule of growing, TELL NO ONE. You don't want them to know anything, if they know you smoke, then you can't do much there. The cops are some of the most evil collection of organic compounds ever assembled into an organism. Consider a virus which has no vaccine and spreads like wildfire and which will ultimately kill 99.9% of the worlds population. The police are just slightly better than that virus. That being said, the cops will have no reservations about violating your home, taking a razor blade to your couch, your bed. Hell if they are having a bad mood that day, they'll shoot your little cocker spaniel when he doesn't respond to their commands, then laugh about it back at the station. At least one of you guys will probably be tased, multiple times. You, your mom and dad will all be handcuffed and stuffed in separate holding area's. While handcuffed they'll probably forcibly remove your mom's clothes, "just to follow policy". They will lose all video records of them beating the shit out of you and your dad. They'll sell your house to the lowest bidder and they'll take that money and buy more plastic handcuffs and tasers.

All that stuff aside, think about how much it would cost you to move out on your own. I don't know about housing prices where you are but figure you'll be spending at least $350 or more for a halfway decent place. Then you'll have utilities which, will be a lot higher for you. Then you'll have to buy food, insurance, cigarettes/beer/bud on top of it all. Here's my advice to you bro. Don't go to a University if you don't have a full ride. I've been to one, the education is way overvalued compared to what you can get at a community college. Besides that, a lot of universities act like the fu***** gestapo when it comes to pot. The university I went to actually brought drug dogs to search the entire dorm. I wouldn't be suprised at all if they start drug testing. Almost all universites require you to live in that prison for the first year. I know it sucks living at home man, but I'm telling you it beats the alternative. Stay at home, save a hell of a lot by doing so, get a college education without getting crazy debt.

So you still got the growing bug though, right? The best way to handle that situation is to go outdoors. It is a lot of hard work, scary at times, but you'll feel like fu***** rambo. Hop online and download NASA's WorldWind. Its like google earth but with topographical features which will show you swamps, forests, all known buildings, powerlines, traintracks, roads, trails, and more. Get some nightvision goggles at toy's r us for like $50, get a gps, and you'll be off to a good start. Think about how much herb you could grow in a little closet, not much. Especially if you wanna get a legit HPS or MH, those things aren't cheap by any means. Save that money and put it towards a legit outdoor setup. Growing has its risks, but if you get caught with some plants in your closet, its hard to deny knowledge of it. On the other hand, it would be a little tougher to catch you outside, unless they're there waiting for you. Even if they do "catch" you going back there. Its fairly simple to avoid fingerprints and evidence which could actually tie you to your plants. Have a solid backstory and you'll be pretty good. THE BEST PART IS come harvest time, you'll have way more bud than you could have ever grown in a year of growing at your house! So be thankful you have fairly cool parents who let you stay there and eat their food, A LOT of people don't have that nowadays.

my dad found my closet grow cabinet a week and a half after i started it haha damn light leaks. it was one of those "son i found something and i really wish i didnt" conversations. he was only worried about it being a fire hazard and said there not really a reason for a cop to come into our house, go up to the second floor and just happen to find a cabinet with a marijuana plant in my closet. he pretty much ended it with saying its illegal so he'd rather i not but doesnt really care. he isnt gonna tell my mom either. haha coolest conversation i've ever had with my dad.

depending on your state & the cop involved,they may weigh the plants w/ rootball & dirt attached at the scene.this happenned to my uncle many yrs ago. 2 plants weighed in at 6 lbs, felony charges and a big lawyer bill along w/ a night in jail.at court the weight dropped to a few grams of premature bud and charges dropped but that was after a few months of sweating & a few grand to a lawyer. would you want to do that to your mother?
I lived w/ my parents till mid 20s and would not even bring more than an oz into their house(in my state,over an oz became a felony)
I have 2 adult children,20 & 22, both started getting high around 16. both were told that I didnt condone it at that age but I could be blind & dumb so I would not notice the room full of potsmoke as long as they were discreate. after graduating,I started smoking w/ them & giving them bags. when I got into an arguement w/ the oldest at 20(she wouldnt get a job or go to school) she threatend to call the cops on my grow. it was torn down in 15 minutes & she was out of the house within the hour.and she is still not welcome here. I would have reacted the same if I found her growing w/out my knowledge. it may sound harsh but the penalties I face for her stupidity will be as well.
do I sound like a mean prick? consider this, my 20 yr old is currently driving my classic 77 bandit TA till she can get her car back on the road & every friend she has wants to move in w/ us. the oldest had her boyfriend living here b4 she was tossed.(seperate bedrooms-sharing a bed is a privlege reserved for adults who support themselves) the terms? go to college or work& pay rent -$75 a week,$50 of it goes into a savings account for you to buy a house or for education.( btw, room & board includes some bud.)

show a little respect & keep it outside till you have your own place.

Got an extra room? Sounds like heaven! So-cal = 1200$ 1 bedroom apartment. TORTURE

my parents pulled every plant i ever put in the yard. never even thought of trying indoor. they would not have been cool with it, and i respected them. I however am a medical user/grower/caregiver, and it will be pretty much impossible to keep it from my children as they grow up with me as a dad. for some reason i see a future in which my son and I are working together on the breeding projects i am starting now. much like ben and alan dronkers of the sensi seed bank.

yeah if you got to hide them then you probably wont be successful growing indoors anyways so just reasearch when to start and find out where to do a guerrilla grow or some shit and save a ton of seeds til then next season start them indoors for a week then take them outdoors somewhere away from home

I agree with the disrespect issue. You know your folks better than we do. I had a friend who was disowned for simply having a teeeny tiny baggy of weed. If you do grow do a mini grow or an aerogarden grow SUPER SMALL amounts and say to your moms i thought it would be safer to grow then expose my self when buying it. if caught apologize, be sincere, and accept the consequences. Like wise do you want your mom holding that over you for the rest of your life? As well have you ever came across a woman who forgot your misgivings?

Right now I cant find a real job to save my life! Not that i dont want to get one it is just that even with a college degree all the "entry level" jobs are requiring 1-5 years experience WTF?

My advice to jimi or anyone else, fuck college, go to a trade school at most. The average age of a plumber right now is 56. In 9 years they will start retiring. The average plumber will start out making 30-40k a year, with the looming shortage they are poised to make even more. After all my work in college getting a degree I have come to the point where a 25k a year job is looking good.

as long as she was trying to find a job,I would have been OK with her.this was b4 the economy tanked.local stores had help wanted signs all over but it seemed she was waiting for them to come to her.final straw was when I was in a gas station & overheard they needed help for shift starting in 3 hrs.I volunteered her & the manager called to ask if she could start tonight.he was told not interested & hung up on! Shit hit the fan that night!

I agree about the trade schools or try getting a job as a helper for a trade.you will have to work alot harder for several yrs( as compared to pushing papers at an airconditioned desk) but no mater how bad the economy gets, people will still need plumbers,HVAC guys and electricians.you wont get rich working for someone else but in time,you can start your own business.

Ok my parents would have kicked me out pure and simple if I was over 18 and they would have made me go to consoling/rehab if under 18 (as that was what I was told would happen for any drugs). I am 95% sure they smoked weed when they were younger. As for the smell for a teenage boy, make a small carbon filter and dont do you laundry and leave food trash around, I know my room reeked of stank laundry as a kid. hell if you already smoke weed in the house you can hide it all the better. you want to know what your mom would do if she found out you were growing weed. make up a story about some ones cousin who got kicked out for growing weed in their parents house and see how she reacts.

I would feel the same way if I living with someone (roommate/bf/gf) where lease/ownership issues were involved and you didnt let them know you were at least doing something nefarious, not so far as "hey I am growing pot." but I wouldn't start growing weed in my girlfriends spare bedroom's closet or basement with out consulting her first. I dont see that as any different than growing in the folks' house.

As for kiddie growers, if some kid said I live on 10+ acres with my folks and I want to start growing seed so I dont risk getting caught buying the shit and affect my chance of going to a good school or other career ending case. I would be totally cool with that.

But, to ask what will my mom do if she finds my grow in her house, the first reaction is HOW THE FUCK DO I KNOW. For all I know she might say "Thank the lord, I was wondering how were going to afford the light bill this month. Go sell it junior."

Look we all make choices and we all have to live with them once they have been made. If you think it is a bad idea and you are asking advice HERE on this forum. Then the answer is DONT FUCKING DO IT!

Okay sorry I havent been on in a while.. My mom found my plants, and I think I convinced her to let me keep them. She found them two days ago, and the next day she said she is going to talk to me about keeping them. Its now been 2 days, so I think she is going to let me keep them. I hope she does
